Janus: Remus!

Patton:

Patton: why are you like this, why are all of you like this.

Remus: Did everyone get good sleep?

Janus: No, Virgil fell on me last night-

Virgil: Remus you fucking dropped me.

Virgil: How did this happen?

Logan: Patton and Roman didn't realize the backpacks were color coded.

Patton:

Roman:

Virgil: THEY'RE FUCKING LABELED!

Virgil: My blood is caffeine and my body is pain.

Logan: When was the last time you slept?

Virgil: Five months ago? I think?

Logan:

Logan: How are you alive?!

Virgil: Spite.

Roman: Virgil, would it kill you to NOT keep the house at 32° C?

Virgil: No.

Virgil: It would kill Remus and Janus.

Janus: Starry night, let's play truth or dare.

Virgil: Okay?

Remus: I'll go first! Emo, truth or dare?

Virgil: Dare

Remus and Janus: We dare you to go to sleep.

Virgil: I don't like this game. Also, what if you freeze in your sleep?!

Janus and Remus: IT'S THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING SUMMER!

"Jannnnnn," Remus whined, draping himself across his boyfriend's lap. "I want attentionnnnn."

Janus ignored him.

"Jan!"

"Rem, I'm working. Leave me alone."

Remus pouted.

"I said, leave me alone. I'll give you attention later."

Remus sat up in Janus's lap and started pressing kisses all over his face.

"R-Remus!" Janus stuttered.

Remus smirked and moved to suck at Janus's neck.

"F-fine, you can have attention n-now!"

Remus pulled away and instead rested his head on Janus's shoulder. "That's what I thought."

Janus rolled his eyes with a sigh, though he couldn't wipe the smile off his face. He leaned down and kissed Remus's hair. "Happy?"

"Mm-hm."

"Good."

About the new Sanders Sides episode (spoilers are here but they are tagged)

TL;DR at the end of the post, but I’m begging you to read it all

So I’ve seen some discussion on Janus and Roman’s back and forth bickering, and I’ve seen more people (if not everyone) discuss how it affects Roman, but no one has mentioned how it affects JANUS.

Yes, him bringing up Remus and comparing Roman to him was a low blow, but while Janus is TRYING to do better, Roman is throwing around insults, calling him evil, and ignoring his attempts to explain himself.

If you look at how Roman has treated others, especially the “dark” sides (Virgil and now Janus), and how he talks about those sides, his moral compass isn’t exactly black and white, either.

When Janus hears Roman insulting him and belittling his attempts at doing good, he fires an insult back. Not out of hatred and malice, but out of pain. If you look at his face when he says this, he’s clearly hurt that he’s not being taken seriously (and hates that he’s still being thought of as evil).

(It isn’t a good gif but bear with me)

At that moment, Roman wasn’t taking Janus’s feelings into consideration, so Janus basically tells Roman that he’s not being a very “good side” at that moment. If anything, Roman is very vain and proud. I know that’s part of his side, but pride in this situation is not helpful. His pride is harming others, and that’s showing.

Yeah, Janus’s comment was harsh, but it’s not even close to true to say that Roman was in the right, either. They were both in the wrong, but people are more concerned about Roman’s feelings than Janus’s, and it makes me mad.

Yeah, Janus did some manipulative things, and I’m not saying he was right for it, but he had his own ways to make sure that Thomas was listening to him. Everything he did was to help Thomas in the way he knew how. He never wanted to hurt Thomas at all.

TL;DR

Neither Janus nor Roman were in the right while they were arguing, but you need to take Janus’s feelings into consideration just as much as Roman’s, especially since Janus is making an effort.
