After spending the wandering around Greywood Seo had come back to the motel close to sunset. She had to go back and get to the task of moving the stranger's body out of the room. It had been a few days since she had brought him back with her from a city a few hours away from here by car, and it was only thanks to the fact that she didn't need heating that the smell had not moved past the doorstep.
Having gotten a carpet from a fleece market last night, it was time to do her job, and so she had quickly wrapped up the body in it and put it on her shoulder, the question in her head only whether she would move it out into the woods or to the graveyard she had found since moving here. As she walked out of her room, Seo closed the door and tried to get the key into the lock, ready to get to the car the man had come with before the sound of another person walking closer reached her ears. She was quick to turn around and find the source, moving quickly to the car, but as she was opening the door of it it was clear that the man was within distance to notice her.
The carpet dropped by the car she was moved with inhuman speed toward the man before slowing down only to stand in front of him, ready to try and influence him to walk away. "This is a late hour for a walk," she said and couldn't control her fangs popping out.
Gn!reader x Alucard: reader just wants to comfort and take care of Alucard.
Can do! Sweet boy needs all the love and support he can get!
tw: blood. blood for vampire stuff.
Somehow, whenever he was upset like this, he always found his way to his old room. This once happy place filled with fond childhood memories, now just a tomb to that past sweetness and current sorrow.
This was where he killed his father.
This was where he wept for his mother.
This was where he had come to grieve and heal from Taka & Sumi.
It was like a security blanket. Much more secure than the thin one wrapped around his body. If he cried or felt anything in here, these four walls would keep his secrets. It didn’t happen if he cried in here. This tomb would keep would keep it hidden.
“Adrian…..” The dhampir gasped audibly. His golden eyes snapping open in a sort of fear at being discovered. “I…heard you crying.”
His lover was extremely clever. Though they had only been together a short time, it was something he had learned early on. Plus, the corner of the castle they’ve carved out to live in wasn’t that large. They also would realize he was gone if they rolled over in their bed. He shouldn’t be surprised that they heard him, or found him so quickly, and yet he was still surprised and unhappy with the circumstances.
His eye narrow into slits with his frown as Alucard wrapped the blanket around himself even tighter. “Go away.” He tried to keep his voice even, but it cracked on him. Like a child. He was feeling incredibly exposed at the moment. He couldn’t feel more naked even if he’d lost the blanket and elaborate night clothes, standing before them nude.
They don’t seem to listen, however, and later he would wonder which one of them had been the bigger fool: them for staying and coming closer or him for think they would leave at all.
“Adrian….please? I want to help you.” Their voice sounded pleading, as if they were the one who was hurt, as they knelt down beside him.
“No one can help me. Just go away.” His voice was even now. It even sounded like a growl. A real beast in comparison to his lover’s soft tones.
“But I can help you. Please. Just let me-“I said go away!” Alucard roared, lashing out both verbally and physically.
His lover yipped and pulled their arm away. Clutching it as the white fabric immediately turned red. He was shocked to realize, in his blind attempt to get them away, that his claws had caught their arm. He hadn’t meant to hurt them, truly. He just wanted them to go away. Leave him alone. Everyone left him alone. He hadn’t realized how close they had gotten. How close he had let them get to him.
He wanted to tell them to go away again. To tell them ‘see. this is what I meant’ like some sort of placating boast that he was right all along. That he was dangerous. That he was a monster. All those terrible things he had warned them about when they first came here, that they should have listened to, were finally coming true.
But the words die on his tongue as it became incredibly heavy in his mouth at the smell of their blood.
He’d never felt this way before. Aside from never getting used to or liking the taste of blood in his mouth, Alucard also promised his mother he would never become like those bloodthirsty animals in his father’s previous court. ‘There is survival, and there is hunting for sport’ She’d told him. Of course, his beloved mother didn’t want her beloved son roaming the streets looking for unsuspecting humans to feast upon. His clever mother was aware that he needed it, much like she and all other humans needed animal flesh & meat to be healthy, but asked him not to take what he could do without. Small vials, kept fresh and stable with his father’s science & brilliant mother’s steady hand, were all he ever needed and took no pleasure in.
But this. This was something entirely different. A part of him that he had always tried to ignore, that part of him that finally understands what all those vampire zealots & rabble rousers were talking about, leapt up inside him. He was hungry. He was starving. His eyes were transfixed on his lover and their arm. Watching those precious red beads slip further into the silk.
Of course, they would notice; once the pain in their arm had subsided a little surely. Suddenly, for Alucard at least, they were looking at him. How long they had been looking at him he couldn’t tell. Those eyes he’d once thought of as naïve, took on a slightly darker shade in their brilliance. No longer naïve, but knowing.
They held out their arm to him.
Alucard stared in disbelief and fear at the offered limb in front of him. The smell stronger now that their free hand wasn’t grasping it, and enveloping him with how close it was. He wanted to tell them no. To stop. To yell at them about how incredibly stupid it was to offering one’s bleeding arm to a vampire, and the consequence therein. To run away. But his tongue was still heavy in his mouth. He couldn’t move. He was genuinely worried that if he opened his mouth to speak drool would roll out of his mouth like some lecherous pervert. And that smell was beckoning him closer.
“It’s alright,” Their sweet voice called out to him from the thundering haze of his heartbeat in his ears. Words soft, like a secret between them. “You need it right? Because of your vampire side? If it’ll….help you….”
Help him. Help him. They had no idea what they were saving. What sort of danger they were putting themselves in! His vampire side was already making rationalizations for him, like any mad man. ‘Yes, yes. Help you.’ It whispered. Dark and thick like ink spilling out in the back of his mind. Always there but finally getting a taste of daylight for once and latching on to crawl its way out. ‘It’ll help you. You’ll feel so good. They’re offering it to you, so there’s nothing wrong with it. They want you to take it. They want you to take them!’ His will was strong, but there was only so much a man could take.
Slowly, shyly, Alucard reached out to take their wrist delicately in his fingers. He was afraid, but he’s decided that if he only took what was lost, what had already been spilled, then there was no harm done. It would be a shame to waste it anyway. All that warm, bright, beautiful blood. He was doing a good thing by doing this. One wouldn’t just throw out a meal if it was offered to them, right?
He leaned in with his eyes closed and offered a tentative lick to the inside of their forearm. His lover flinched. It must have tickled. For him it was a whole ‘nother kind of sensation.
He felt like he had just licked one of the electric lamps in the castle, but in the best way. His tongue sizzled and pop. As if ever corpuscle burst in his mouth. It’s over now. He was finished. He couldn’t go back now.
The flat of his tongue licked over their arm; still trying to catch every drop that had fallen out earlier. He eventually finds his way up to its source, three jagged scratches marring their beautiful skin. Alucard kissed it, in some sort of half-conscious apology or adoration for the source he couldn’t be sure, before he latched on to suck.
The cuts weren’t deep. He could have done a lot more damage. However, they bleed quite nicely, especially as he sucked on them. His mouth doesn’t fill with blood, but there is a steady stream into his mouth. Warm and lush. It tasted sweet, but not the kind of sweetness Alucard could name. It wasn’t candy, or cakes. It was….like walking in the woods on a sunny day. Feeling a soft breeze on your skin with the scent of distant wild flowers in the air. A sweetness he longed for. A sweetness he craved.
“Adrian….” Their voice broke in again through the pounding in his ears. Hammering in time with the pulse at their wrist. He had to wonder if it was their blood or his rushing past them. “Adrian….” Their free hand pressed against his chest. The touch letting him feel how hard his heart was beating in there. Thin, delicate fingers fist into his shirt and he finally opened his eyes. Those vibrant eye half lidded and glassy as small, shallow breaths past through their lips. They looked like they were about to swoon.
“[Y/N]!” Alucard called out as they did just that. Swooning into his arms.
Their breathing was still labored, and eyes still closed from when they had rolled back into their head. But they were alive. How long had he been drinking from them for? How long had they let this continue with the idea that he would stop? Why didn’t he stop…..?
“You idiot! I could have killed you.”
“You…wouldn’t.” They panted out. Voice still ragged but coming back to some kind of normal. “I know….you won’t hurt me. I know…your intentions….are good.”
‘Good?’ Alucard scoffed with a frown. They wouldn’t be thinking that if they were aware of what he was actually thinking. All he could think about in that moment was devouring them. Getting more of that blood in his mouth. Consuming it until every drop was inside him. “You have the worst survival instinct in the history of the world.”
His insult only got a chuckle from the person in his arms and they sat up. Shaky, but sat up. “Perhaps, but I did not die. So, I must have gotten something right. And…I wanted to help you Adrian. You do seem to be feeling better.”
Alucard blinked in surprise. Had that been their idea all along? Offering themselves to him to make him feel better?
“I’m not better.” Alucard insisted. “A temporary lapse in euphoria does not mitigated a problem. Do you think a drunk has his problems suddenly disappear when he’s inebriated?” Go ask Trevor Belmont.
“You think my blood is ‘euphoric’?” Alucard blushed and looked away from his lover in irritation. Of course, they would latch on to that remark instead of the perfectly valid point he was making. “And, I know that. The only way that you’re truly going to feel better about what you’re going through is if you talk about it.” They said. Leaning in closer to be next to him, placing their hand on his knee. “Do you want to talk about it now?”
Alucard looked at them through the corner of his eye. Maybe it was their earnest intentions. Or maybe it was their blood still coursing through his system. Either way, he couldn’t seem to deny them or the point they were making. So he finally broke down and told them, “yes. I want to talk about it.”
“Hyy!” A single tear fell from Yui’s face after she was pinned down by Kou. The way his eyes glowed said it all, it was feeding time. She should’ve suspected that’s what he was aiming for all this time, but Yui never could truly tell when that would happen.
The second she felt Kou’s fangs touch her skin, Yui’s legs shot up and attempted to close all the while but Kou’s embodiment prevented her from doing so. Instead, Yui’s fingers curled into tiny fists despite them being entrapped by Kou’s strong grip, her hands were much like what a cat does when it paws for something.
“K-Kou... Nnn...” A low pant left her mouth as Kou continued to drink from her neck. “T-Too much...” She was starting to feel dizzy all of a sudden.
