More Poly!bau thoughts featuring canon spouses/partners (the ones that ive been introduced to at least)
-Haley knew Hotch was in love with his team LONG before he did. Neither of them really got polyamory at the time. She never really confronted him about it, but if you explained the concept of ethicsl nonmonogamy to her, she would get reeeeeal quiet and a lot of issues would be solved reeeeeal quick
-Kevin Lynch. I am admittedly biased against him, but we saw how skittish he was just with Garcia being the way she is with Morgan. His brain is simply not hardwired for poly. And that's okay! But Garcia's brain very much is, and I think they would have had some fights about it closer to the end of their relationship. His proposal was kinda a last-ditch effort to try and get her into monogamy. He did not expect her to say no.
-Will, man that he is, is more than okay with JJ being poly. He starts dating Reid after a while even (sometime after they officially tie the knot) and he gets cuddles from any of the other team members that he wants and takes full advantage of this fact. He is very touchy with his two partners and that subconciously translates to their partners. Also, in a world where Haley lives, they start dating! It starts as playdates between the kids and ends as "Aaron, I fucked your wife, I hope that's okay" (it is)
-Sergio loves that Em is Poly. He has so many human servants. He is in kitty cat heaven at all times.
-We obvi don't see a lot of Beth, but she walks into the relationship knowing that Hotch is in love with his team. She's honestly a little surprised to find out they're not officially poly yet. If she had been around longer, I like to imagine she would also date Rossi and possibly Morgan. None of the girls (Straight, but a big ol' ally), but she does love them as family. Fujoshi icon /silly
-Maeve. Oh boy. Reid absolutely fawned over the rest of the team to her, and she never got the opportunity to tell him, but she was slowly falling in love through his stories. In a world where she does live, tho, I imagine she integrates pretty seamlessly. I don't think the whole team would date her, but I have this crazy theory that Garcia is exactly her type in women and they get along like a house on fire. I also like the idea of Maeve dating Hotch a little bit, because I think personality wise they're each other's type.
-I haven't met Savannah yet. Obvi the easiest thing is to say Morgan just doesn't get together with her, but I don't think that's entirely fair to her. I think she's actually also in a poly relationship, admittedly a smaller and much less complex one. Maybe Morgan was the first guy she was attracted to, and her other partners are both women. I think she would encourage him to still stay pretty close to the BAU despite everything, and she and her girlfriends/wives would be good friends with the BAU polycule even tho they're not involved. I do think they pull Hotch in after he leaves tho. The man is still dating Morgan, and the girls all dote on Jack
