So, this is a semi blind contour #drawing of #TyroneWashington, a sort of weird footnote in #jazz history. A guy with a very promising career at the end of the 1960s, who had done a key stint in pianist #HoraceSilver's band (which is how I had heard of him at all) and then put out a great debut on the highly regarded Blue Note label, a few other support sessions followed.... And then he disappeared. There are no known recordings or gigs of him after 1974, and the closest that anyone has gotten to an update about him is from a supposed relative who left a comment about one of his albums in the review section of an Amazon listing.
