How I Structure Maths Revision and Some Perspective | 1/100 days of productivity For maths, I’m lucky enough to be doing the old specification (the last year that will do it) so there are a lot of past papers available. I’m using a one-note document to plan my revision, which contains a long list of every single day between now and the end of my exams and what I plan to do each day. For maths, I’ve counted the number of past papers for each unit and spread out the number I do each week so that it increases closer to exams (and mocks). I use one notebook for all my maths notes and in each section I have a revision table where I write down which papers I’ve done, what result I got and how I can improve. I also find it helpful to highlight them according to the grade or score, so I can see at a glance how much I’ve improved and how well I’ve done recently. Believe it or not, the four past papers above were done over the course of a week, before and after a mock, which shows just how important past paper questions and practice are for improving your grade. However, before I’ve done any past papers for a topic I first made a mindmap and flash cards of every chapter from that unit. I use the mind maps for more extensive information and condense it into flash cards, which I use a spaced repetition system for. I hope this helps some of you! Let me know if you’d like more info about my mindmaps, flashcards etc or how to revise for other subjects!
