>The attempted resurrection was to take place in a basement floor of the eastern tower of the library. Present were Mita, Khazaraan, and Myles standing around the table where the body was set, covered from head to toe in a white sheet. An air of mourning and resignation hung over the room. Curious as to the meaning of Mitas communion with his god, Myles had set up cameras in case the event went awry.
After a long silence Mita spoke up, “The will of the Many and the grief of a mentor have lead this decision today. A young man lost in a tragic accident, he is dear to all of us here. As friend, student, co-worker, and fellow reveler. Whatever happens today, we will remember him.”
At that, the cleric set a diamond to rest in levitation above the body and set the spell into motion. His quiet prayer did keep the diamond in place, but the effects did not take hold at first. It was only when the spell was nearing its end that the crystal began to glow, and glow it did. In mere moments it was overtaken by bright red light, then shattered. Those observing the ritual covered their eyes to protect from the shrapnel, but could not avoid the sight of the spells effects. The body began to levitate, at first glowing but the heat of the light bathed soon bathed it in holy fire. The room followed shortly. Protective spells were thrown in defense against the violent manifest. Along with the glowing and the fire came a great noise, a thousand voices speaking at once. One by one they dropped out until one remained, Frey. He was screaming his lungs out for the moment he hung in the air. And with that, he dropped back to the table, singed but very much alive. He was silent in that moment, save for his ragged breathing.
Before the shock of the appropriated ascension could pass for those who witnessed it Frey shot up into a sitting position. “Holy shit did you guys see that!” He shouted in excitement.

@undeathmetal liked your post “Sec just texted me four pictures of the Christmas party with Khaz...”
I didn’t even take that many pictures. It was the same two sent twice, with you circled in different colors.
undeathmetal replied to your post: …I didn’t even take the horses back to Stansbury...
It’s incredibly unfair to you to say that it should’ve been you who died. And, I’m sorry if this is the wrong thing to say, but…if it reassures you at all, he died achieving his dream. I can’t think of a better way to go.
I don’t... wish it so much anymore. But it’s been... difficult the past few days.
...but no, it isn’t the wrong thing to say. Thank you. It really means a lot to me.
I’m just... I’m more emotional than usual. I need a few minutes and then I’m... going to try to start today’s investigation and do what I can. Hopefully tonight, I can prevent whatever tragedy may occur. I have to.
...I probably can’t take a few minutes, in that case. I just need to get ready.
...thank you again, Khazaraan.
