When we first moved into our house, there were cops ALL UP IN OUR HOOD but they're really decreased their presence in the last year or two. This is the first time we've been stopped by one though so maybe they really are that bored?

I was IDed once... but I didn't have my ID on me. Back up was called, a cop stood by my door, and they took my DOB & SSN to confirm my ID. Ridiculous.
That is some serious bullshit. I never know if I can say no to a request like that either.
