Here we have a unique silo apt. in  Allegan, Michigan for $795 mo.

I can’t figure this out. It looks like some of the rooms enter from out in the hall.

The rooms are unique, but small and oddly shaped, so you’d have to buy some small furniture.

The kitchen’s not bad. 

I think that the narrow door is a closet.

I’m gonna guess that you wouldn’t get a queen sized bed in here.

The bathroom’s a good size.

This is a bijou, top-floor apartment in Folkestone on England’s south coast. Aptly named “the Turret,” it was tricky to decorate.

Not even the bed’s headboard could make it up the 3-foot-wide, 38-step spiral staircase (it eventually had to be brought in over the bedroom’s balcony via the neighboring garden).

The uninterrupted sea views, visible from the lead window–lined tower, excuse the property’s somewhat awkward layout. 

Clusters of vignettes add warmth and charm.

A burgundy-and-brown–striped wallpaper sets a cozy and dramatic tone in the bedroom.

Nothing is quirkier than the view to the en suite bathroom, so the door was removed, but the toilet isn’t in there, anyway.

The toilet is in a separate space with a tiny sink.

The kitchen’s color scheme was inspired by a post on Instagram.

The Tower Bridge Residence, London is a cool two-bedroom apartment designed for a young woman in her twenties. (I wonder who she knew to get an apt. in there.)

Not bad, huh?  Hám interiors designed it and repainted the built-in cabinet to give it a fresh new look. 

With space at a premium, they created a kitchen with an integrated Sub-Zero fridge and built-in pantry to maximize storage.

They gave it marble counters and matching mirrored furnishings in the dining room, plus comfy upholstered chairs. 

The bedroom is tailored and has a playful upholstered zebra print headboard.

The shower has a marble tile. 

Patterned wallpapers and fabrics in this bedroom add layers of texture and interest for a fun and fresh look.

The bath has an elegant look and opens dramatically with double doors.

This unique apt. in Brooklyn, New York City belongs to a female carpenter and it’s also her workshop. She’s incorporated her work into the decor and it’s very cozy. (The taxidermied goat head is not a goat- she made it from a hard foam covered with rabbit fur.)

The decor consists of family antiques, vintage finds, and her own handcrafted pieces.

Pretty vignette made on a vintage blue trunk.

The small kitchen features cutting boards that she makes, as well as vintage tools on display.

The dining area is part of the workshop area. Everything fits together so well.

The bedroom is simple and a large vintage cabinet makes a great night table.

The wood shop is separated from the living room by a wall of vintage windows.

Here’s an adorable upper floor apt. in Australia. 

This is such an unusual feature. Like how the large mirror gives the small area depth. 

Basic kitchen with a wooden backsplash and counter. Open shelving above gives it a modern look, but look at the unique plug-in lighting. I’ve never seen anything like that.

What this apt. lacks in kitchen cabinetry, it more than makes up for with the baby AGA stove. That tiny AGA costs around $9,170.00!

The coffee table look like a flower- very unusual. 

And, finally, there’s a lovely bedroom in the attic.

This tiny Brooklyn, New York apt. looks like a loft, but it’s clearly been cobbled together by the landlord and in the process, has lots of character. 

Look at these windows that were installed. They’re much more interesting than drywall.

The kitchen has open shelving made from miscellaneous boxes.

Nice butcher block counters and a fashionable black faucet.

Decorative spindles grace the top of the kitchen shelves.

The pantry is also made from boxes.

The small apt. has 2 bedrooms, but it doesn’t have a living room. The kitchen doubles as both, b/c behind the large table, there’s a sofa with lots of pillows, plus a side chair.

At the far end of the kitchen is the main bedroom. 

It’s interesting how they put this apt. together. I wonder what it was before. It’s just so unique.

The little stove is high end.

Old wood makes a wall in the bedroom and the furniture is also made of boxes.

Some extra IKEA seating in the bedroom.

The bathroom is beautiful- a claw foot tub, subway tile and a large marble sink.

The 2nd bedroom is so cute and cozy. I love this little apt.

Check out the floorplan- by the looks of that long hall, maybe they made the apt. out of a supply room or something at the back of the building, b/c it’s on the ground floor.

Here’s an interesting rental a Facebook friend found in Reno, Nevada, for $975 mo. on Hot Pads. I like the artwork, but can’t figure out the layout.

I’m thinking that this is supposed to be the sleeping area. 

The kitchen is miniscule, but I LOVE that broken dish mosaic backsplash. Do you love the hole in the shelf for the colander? 

Also love the wooden valance on this shelf. 

The floor appears to have several levels. Is that a nightlight in a shelf? Someone painted a great little “rug” on the floor.

The frame around the mirror is cute, too. And, look at the little chair on the wall- looks like a little drawer. As weird as the layout is, it seems that the previous tenant was very artistic.
