Maintenance done & Art Trade info

Alright, following a conversation with a fellow mutual for the Art Trade event, who sought to know more about Amos x Heaven, I realized with utmost horror that not only their original story wasn't written properly at all + that my masterlists were so messy that finding info felt like a challenge straight from Squid Game.

Hereby you'll find a clean Masterlist dedicated to them as well as a brief summary of everything you need to know about them, which can be useful if you want to participate in the art trade but aren't familiar with them. Also, if you're just curious but don't know where to start.

Other changes (that no one cares about)

→ Heaven's masterlist has been cleared of most of the asks/infos from the Arthur x OC era since HYE is in the process of being rewritten. It still uses all the Peaky Blinders lore and characters, but you know who the endgame is. Thanks @justrainandcoffee for supporting me.

→ The separate masterlists of Heaven and Amos store the things that are about them as individuals, mostly. Which is quite tricky considering these dumbasses are codependent and come in pairs.

→ Art Trade Exchange still has slots to be filled btw!

I’ve been trying to work on and finish chapter updates for a few of my fics before Kinktober, because I highly doubt I’ll have enough time for those then heheh

So... what’s going on with Ryubliss?

Well, as you all likely have noticed, we’re pretty inactive here. Very inactive. Practically on unannounced hiatus, which until now may have seemed indefinite.

We sincerely apologize for the inactivity, and now that we have some time, we’d like to address some things.

First off, the last year of course hit hard; right in the midst of revamping/reorganizing many major things with the blog and species, some major issues occurred behind the scenes which decimated our time and motivation to work on the species. 

For a while, it looked like we’d never get back to a consistent schedule, with planned events slipping by. And as the months added up, we became very discouraged to return on this project. For a bit, we even considered just closing the species altogether... we couldn’t do that, we couldn’t abandon this years-long project of ours altogether.

After nearly three years of struggling to keep up with updates and events with just a few mods onboard and conflicting schedules, we had to make a decision.

So instead, we’ve decided to OPEN the Ryubliss species, as well as all other Arizel/Ryuniverse species, effective immediately.

We’ve decided to take a step back. You can now make as many dreamfolk characters as you wish! You can choose to celebrate the in-universe holidays any way you choose! 

You can also redesign your existing characters, we only ask that you post/submit an updated reference so we can update the database.

We’ll still be having occasional events and releasing canon information/lore on the world, but it’ll be in a much more lax manner.

We’d like to thank everyone who’s been with us on this journey for three years, from the very first iteration in 2018 to now. To those who participated in contests, who sent in fanart and created intricate lore of their own, who supported us even during our long hiatuses, thank you all.

I created this species to share a world and lore that we were passionate about. It wasn’t perfect, as it was my first real attempt to create a closed species, but I poured my heart into it.

And I’ve decided that it’d be easier to share that lore if I opened the species, instead of struggling to create designs and adopts in order to keep up a slow trickle of official characters/lore released.

From now on, the blog will likely be focusing more on the canon “storyline” of events surrounding the guardians, the islands, and the most recent arc, the Nytaers event. Artwork, ask/QnA events, short stories, etc. All to enrich the story and immersion of the Ryuniverse canon!

We’ll occasionally release “official” adopts as well (in that they’re tied to the lore and are automatically approved as canon dreamfolk designs). But feel free to tag us in any of your Ryuniverse artworks and creations!

We look forward to a bright new year for this blog, and many more to come!

In order to ensure utmost clarity, we’ll be going through and editing a lot of posts, as well as reposting the most current reference images of contest characters so that their ownership status will be easily accessible.

We’re changing the tagging system.

The [species]-List tag (ex: Ryu-list, Respie-list) is being discontinued in favor of a more cohesive tag: #Official Character List. This will hopefully make things easier to navigate.

Each Species has its own Lore and Anatomy tags (ex: Ryubliss Lore, Respie Anatomy). Lore tags involve the actual history of the species. Anatomy tags involve the biological information of the species, such as how the eyes work, what the species’ diet is, etc.

The Ryubliss World tag is being discontinued in favor of a more inclusive tag, #Arizel Locations. This will cover all locations on the Arizel Planet.

The “What’s Happening on Arizel”, seen on the desktop version of the blog theme, will now lead to a new tag called #Official Events.
