Svetlana Yevgenivna is an caricature of a slavic woman and it sucks cause she could’ve been so much more, like if her trauma was actually explored, why did her father sold her was, was he forced to do it or because he didn’t cared about her, leaning into her consent issues, what was her childhood like both pre being sold and afterwards like where’s her talking about her trauma/trauma dumping someone and it’s not just her, any slavic women on the show is a stereotype and really Freelania Alexeyevich, REALLY the first name is a not a really name and alexeyevich is a man’s patronymic this show really LOVES USING patronymics as last name, cause why does she have her father’s patronymic but his last name it doesn’t add up, dear writers please go to the Wikipedia pages of slavic/russian language(s)

Shameless has had its ups and downs. A lot of downs. It’s such a hot mess of a show. But I’m going to miss it so much.
