I am very interested in minority languages, and the preservation of languages and cultures. My favourite things to do are reading, watching musicals, and learning about other cultures.”
Why did you choose to run a blog about your country? “I started this blog in July 2015 because there was no blog about our country, and I thought it would be good both so that foreigners can learn about our culture and so Catalans can find some representation on Tumblr. I also made it for personal reasons, because, like many other Catalans, I have been insulted and made fun of for being Catalan or for speaking Catalan to the point many times I’ve wished I was from somewhere else. I realised we deserve the same respect as other cultures, and I thought that through this page I could help other Catalan people and myself to love ourselves and to remember that we are doing well by keeping our language and cultures alive. Also, we needed more meme content.”
