While aboard the haunted USS Iowa, a retired battleship docked in the Port of Los Angeles, I got the best ghostly voices I've ever captured. This battleship is in the top 3 of the most haunted places I've visited.

More USS Iowa This is not a barrel you want to find yourself looking down. According to @kastrangerdanger (and I am about to royally screw up this statistic) you could be standing within 15 meters of the target and you wouldn't survive. Please feel free to correct me on that one! What I do clearly remember is the gunpowder bags they loaded into the guns. The picture shows how they would set it up inside the barrel of the cannons. Welcome to the Communication Room of the USS Iowa (I think that was what this room's purpose was). I loved the way this room looked, a very serious looking place. The red lights preserve your night vision; a trick astronomers and old photo development labs use due to their respective needs for darkness. In the old days, this same effect was accomplished by wearing a simple eye patch.
