Amber eyes regarded him harshly in silence, his words rebounding within the room. Only the sound of the clock’s ever moving pendulum was there to eclipse it.  It was beyond comprehension how many times she had seen him enter this room. The moment she was alone with her her thought to muse over the current predicaments, the moment she could find a moment to rest, that all too familiar hissing of the door would announce this master’s presence to her once more.

It was annoying. It was completely and utterly pathetic.  This disgusting clingy motions of coming and going was unfitting for last of the master’s Chaldea had to offer. He had boundless servants at his disposal that he could form bonds with, Mash being one of the prime candidates of someone he could be so close to. Even a ordinary citizen with the most inept social skills and cues could cultivate such trust and friendship with someone as willing with her. What objective was there in returning here, back to her?

What reason did she have in humoring him each and every time?

It was like he hypothesized. Somehow in the  moments between the brunette leaving the memories would slip through his fingers like sand. Time would move on and yet he would not. 

She would not.  

“No, you probably won’t.” Leaning back into her chair Olga heaved a sigh, her eyes closing ever so briefly. Perhaps it  just highlighted how unsuitable this man’s magic circuits are if. If he can’t do something so simple as keeping the memories of their conversations. More akin to a malfunctioning tool. Nothing but, a headache. One that she did not need.  

There was no hiding the thinly veiled animosity in her gaze.

“Why do you keep coming back?” Her voice though low was accusatory. There was a great many possibilities for the reason Makoto kept coming back here. Why he kept visiting for reason beyound his self doubts. Most of them only seemed to set her blood to boil.    "Do you simply lack belief in yourself so greatly that you need to show this pitiful display to me time and time again?”

"Oh no worries, we're all well aware that any mistakes we make could lead to the end of humanity. Also that whoever goes on missions could die fighting demon pillars or a serious Solomon. So holidays like Valentines day is a nice tension reliever." He handed her some homemade milk chocolate he made (with Emiya's help). "Happy Valentines Day!"

It was a sound assessment. As much as the woman despised to admit where own beliefs were flawed. Death was ever present, the current state of her being was proof enough.

An occupant of Moonlight, the room for the lost. It was her place alone, the only domain within Chaldea where she reigned and could continue to exist so long as she held onto her obsession to see humanity prevail. Evidently the words had certainly gone through on ear and actually stuck given the response that she had been given.

Yet how was it that Ritsuka didn’t understand the blatant concept that Olga Marie had no desire to humour such a frivolous waste of precious time.

“Your reasoning is acceptable. However, I thought I made myself clear.” She had made her preference to the holiday and those like all but crystalline. The magus had every right to dispose of the gift. Be it in the nearest disposable bin or the face of the master candidate that had been ‘gracious’ enough to give to her. 

But… She can’t bring herself to throw it away. This…. this the closest thing to appreciation that Marie had been given. That was reason enough to still her hand, the motion of backhanding the confectioneries.

      “I expect you to be at your best after this reprieve, anything less and I will see to it that the matter is rectified myself!” Snatching the chocolates presented to her, the woman look over the handwork once over before continuing. 

      “Go, indulge in your festivities. I have said my piece and will retract my threats.”
