doppleganged might be the best buffy episode ever like:

vamp willow was everything.

the scene where they all think willow is dead and they're talking about how she was the best of them and giles agrees (my shaylas)

when giles hugs willow (my shaylas x2)

anya the entire episode tbh - especially the beer scene

Also the scene where willow says: That's me as a Vampire? I'm so evil and skanky... and I think I'm kinda gay :( and then buffy's like: Remember a vampire is nothing like the person it used to be, and Angel is like: WELL ACTUALLY 🤓and buffy shoots him a warning look so he's like: you're right... is everything to me bc not only did Willow seemed completely unfaced by this relevation (so she must've known already she was gay...) BUT Buffy and Angel know already too (cause if not why on earth would he say that and most importantly why would buffy make him shut up)????? like they clocked her gay ass instantly. Real recognises real i guess.

ever since william jackson harper confirmed eleanor to be bisexual i’ve been waiting for them to actually mention it on the show or at least someone else talk about it 😭 he can’t give us that info and expect that to be it!!!

idk I have a lot thoughts about it.

Like... If they only intend to just bait us, I’d rather them drop it. But if they do bring it up more, I don’t want it to just be a joke.

I didn’t actually find WJH’s comments all that reassuring since he was implying that it was nice that it could just be a casual thing. And like... if the show had like ANY real LGBT rep that’d be less of a big deal. 

Like that’s one of the many reasons I’m not that bothered by Rebecca not being explicitly bi: the show has good LGBT rep. The Good Place... has Eleanor saying she’s into Tahani in season one and then... not much after that. Possibly because shippers freaked them out.

I mean to be fair: I’m not actually that angry about TGP either. But it’d be nice. There’s no good reason they couldn’t give Eleanor a girlfriend for a couple of episodes. Or introduce a girlfriend she had in the past.

the way she said she loved him seemed really forced and then you can kind of tell that she realized that it was forced towards the end of the conversation. i loved that and i really hope they go more in depth with that realization

Yeah exactly. She told him she loves him to get him to leave her alone bc she was scared of him retaliating, just like in 3.03 she ‘agreed’ to go on a date with him bc he told her he won’t take no for answer and she was scared of what he might do to her if she says no. 

Also, and I thought the same by 3.13 btw, that Rebecca saying she loves Nathanal wasn’t narratively earned AT ALL. But I think that in 3.13 she felt all alone and abandoned by Paula so she clung to anything she could have, which was Natnanal at that point. And in 4.01 she just says she loves him to get him to leave her alone. 

AND BESIDES, HELLO, SHIT SHOW IS A THING. LOVING SOMEONE =/= YOU NEED AND SHOULD BE WITH THEM. LOVE CANNOT DETOXIFY A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP, FOLKS. Esp. since he doesn’t love her at all, he just likes how she makes him feel about himself, and she was with him just bc she’s petrified of being alone and he takes advantage of that.
