Have got tagged by lovely @vegascabaret for choosing 10 debut albums from the bands I love, thank you so much, this is indeed interesting, let me think...
1. The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses - probably, one of the most iconic debut albums in general in the history of music, certainly no weak songs!
2. Zaba by Glass Animals - an album that started off my journey with GA’s music: a clear consistent concept, absolutely mind-blowing production, wonderful beats and details and interesting rainforest-tales-like lyrical canvas
3. The Golden Age by Woodkid - an impressive by the concept and organically symphonically wide and “wooden” sound with the elements that are so typical for Yoann’s signature sound! Just one iconic song after another and insane energy and story behid them!
4. Blood by Kelset Lu - so happy that after songwriting and producin for a bunch of very popular musician Kelsey finally expressed herself and that’s an amazing overall experimental album with the classical strings touches here and there as Kelsey herself is a clasical cellist, nice beats in less experimental songs and overall a very artsy atmosphere
5. Parachutes by Coldplay - a very wam and organic sound with an iconic album cover, love it for lyrical straightfoward and emotionally honest approach, nicely layered Jon’s guitar work and absolutely great bass work by Guy!
6. Funeral by Arcade Fire - this album feels like the pinnacle, I often compare its importance and significance in the band’s discography to VLVODAAHF by Coldplay, would’ve never thought it’s debut but it is!
7. If I Could Make It Go Quiet by girl in red - after listening to her EP’s should say that she really found her own sound here, the honesty here is so inspirational, really excited about this artist’s musical development!
8. Dark Eyes by Half Moon Run (special greetings to J @blueberry-beanie for introducig me to this band :D) - a realy surprisingly signature sound of the band encapsulated already in the first album! Very interesting songs with a unique atmosphere and different turns in sound, that was THE start for this band
9. Through The Night by Ren Harvieu - a queen of vintage sound with a really great album with an absolutely outstanding soothing voice of a real singing diva and lots of melancholy about the past I could never experience but certainly enjoy having a look into!
10. All My Demons Greeting Me As a Friend by AURORA - put it here because it started off my absolute adoration for her and made me pay attention to what she tries to convey with her music, a really solid album that made a big start to the artist she is now, a very important album for me personally
