Guess whose cat decided to door-dash and chomp on a lily leaf? 🤦

Fortunately the xylazine was effective, and he vomited the leaf bit, so now it's just IV fluids and monitoring for the next couple days.

Lilies are extremely toxic to cats (even licking the pollen off their fur can be fatal!) so if your cat is exposed, it's a true medical emergency, and they need to get vet care immediately. If you wait until signs of poisoning develop, it's too late.

Last night I dreamed that someone had left me a "green macaw" (not even sure if that's a real species*. It looked like a cross between a kakapo and an Amazon parrot) and a cockatoo in addition to a budgie, and I was panicking because 1) I am NOT prepared to provide enough enrichment to keep a macaw or a cockatoo happy, and they are very loud and destructive when unhappy, 2) I am very much afraid of getting bitten by a bigger parrot because beaks like bolt cutters, and parrots are aware of this and take advantage, and 3) where am I getting the money to pay for their food, vet bills, etc???

Anyway, I was very happy to wake up and remember that I only have the budgie 😅 Here's a picture of the silly little dude giving me nightmares lol

*ETA: it is a real species but looks nothing like the one in my dream lol

So my little dog got into a bag of W/D and just went to town before I caught her. And now she is pooping. so. much. Where she keeping it all?? 😭

On the plus side, at least it's not diarrhea lol
