I don't like it when the 2nd male lead wants the female lead (despite her having no interest in him) and proceeds to sabotage things and generally make an ass of himself so he becomes disliked by everyone and ending up alone. Like come on dude, you couldn't even be sexy with your evil plans. These 2nd male leads need more pathetic wet kitten energy. They need to at least try.

Also realistically the female lead should struggle at least a little with making the choice. Yes, you fell in love with the main male lead but you've got a handsome dude clinging to your leg begging for just a scrap of your attention.

You know what. I think games should have platonic versions of romantic actions in games. Like platonic kissing and platonic holding hands and platonic cuddling

My favorite thing to do when I have an idea is write a blurb and tinker with it until it says just enough and hooks the reader. It makes me feel sooo productive
