INHERITED ASSETS This beautiful original Victorian staircase was worse for wear before we restored it. There were missing and broken cast balusters. Fortunately, the specialist fabricator from the Egg supply chain had the identical mould in their workshop and produced replacements. The damaged limestone steps and risers were painstakingly repaired; cleaned and resealed. Then finally, missing sections of mahogany handrail were hand carved to form new turns and french polished on completion to magnify the beautiful grain in the wood.
