The stag raised a brow, glancing up from the papers in his hands. Oh, being told to cut it out just made his smile wider. He ever so enjoyed that he could perplex his little pet associate.

They had been working together for a while now, and it seemed that Adam found new aspects of Alastor every day. The Overlord had certainly noticed that the ex-angel had gained the habit of staring.

With a huffy laugh, he'd reach up to push his reading glasses further up his nose, crimson orbs studying his expressions carefully.

"Cute? Why, mayhaps you require these glasses more than I~" He'd tease, leaning his chin in his hand, elbow resting against the tabletop. "Unfortunately, this happens to be my expression. I cannot just "wipe it off". You will simply have to get used to it, Adam~"

INNER THOUGHTS ON YOUR CHARACTER / Always Accepting!

It's... hard to say, really. I've known him since the day he was created; I watched over him, I helped him learn and grow and flourish. He was a great pupil to have. But, after everything, the lies, the deceit, the betrayal, whether potentially done by me directly or otherwise, something had... changed in Adam. Or maybe he's always been that way. We've both changed. And I think that's the hardest thing to come to terms with. I don't hate him, I couldn't ever hate him but Satan forbid I'd ever admit that. Our dynamic has definitely changed, somewhere inside myself, I still care about him. But I've grown accustomed to the new role I've had to play and become so disconnected with everything. He's become a royal pain in my ass, but sometimes I tolerate it, get a rise out of him to maybe get some semblance to reminisce on.

the graveyard was old, and it was empty. that was a weird thing for forrest. even old graveyards from before the bombs had ghosts still floating around, happy to comment about what things were like way before. this time, though, there's silence. the remains of old gravestones, too worn to see names of who may be buried here.

"it's quiet." he says, voice just above a whisper. eyes glance to the other for a moment, and he waits. not for a response, but for someone else to appear, but they don't. "i think it's just us."
