Doomer vibe but such is the state of the animation industry at the moment
Last December, I came across trailers and short clips of the European animated Disney series “Viking Skool”. Most of the clips were scenes from episodes, they were mostly foreign dubs. I must’ve done over 15 to 20 rough sketches of Ylva, one of the main characters on the show. After months of putting it off, I finally got to do drawings of Ylva in color.
I watched Vikingskool over the weekend and I'm convinced Ylva is Thor's daughter:
She's MUCH stronger than the other kids, the most obvious instance being how easily she could handle the iron cabbage compared to them.
Before the Goat Flu, she'd never been sick, at all.
It's casually mentioned that she has the best eyesight out of anyone in camp.
BIG RED HAIR
She ALWAYS reacts instinctively to Loki's presence.
In the Turnip Queen episode, Arni literally asks her to show them "how a Goddess walks".
In a later episode (can't remember which :/) he says something like "Oh, what, help is magically come from above from the gods?" and immediately a rope falls from above...dropped by Ylva.
Did I mention the BIG RED HAIR?
And of course her whole Chaotic Good personality and her love of challenges.
Vikingskool Sets International Disney+ And Disney Channel Premiere Date
Time to pack up and learn the best way to be Vikings!
Disney EMEA has set the premiere time for SAMKA Productions, Cartoon Saloon’s & Disney Europe Animation’s Vikingskool, the premiere will be this Summer (May,June,July,August) Premiere will depend by the region and it’s only for International Disney+’s and Disney Channel’s this is beacuse sadly productions of Disney Europe Animation always avoid the United States, productions like Space Chickens In Space & The Unstopabble Yellow Yeti skip USA and are only avalible for International Markets in a similar way as Disney Argentina with their division “Disney Novelas” made for Disney Channel & Disney+ LA.
VikingSkool is a playful and irreverent comedy-adventure series in which children speak and behave like contemporary children, but Viking Skool is an epically sized world of stark contrasts.
Viking Skool forms the top of the top Viking chefs. Teenagers Ylva, Erik and Arni are three friends reunited at the Viking Skool. Becoming a Viking will not be an easy task.
Bound by their differences, their friendship only grows as they face the most insurmountable challenges.
Finished up my first professional project yesterday; Disney’s Viking Skool!
Wow, Disney's really just ripping the newly-dead-but-not-even-cold-like-its-still-flinching-and-stuff-corpse of HTTYD out of DWA's hands and disemboweling it for their own purposes
