So he was originally just a Creepy Twin for one of @phoenix-failing‘s oneshots (it was a murder mystery and we ALSO wound up killing Kay Tannenbay, imagine that~ ouo) but then she made the mistake of after the game developing Cav some more, because we were talking in the car and I asked her if I could do stuff with Bren. Because conjoined backstories are loads of fun.

Like a fool: she said sure.

So he’s broken now, he’s so broken but he’s going to get better. He’s been getting better slowly with exposure to people who aren’t Heaps of Shit TM. Removal from Ambrose has been key to it, and you all scared Ambrose bad enough that for now at least Bren is pretty safe. As long as he stays in Sendra at least, which won’t happen because of the war, but just knowing there are people that sort of give a shit if he lives or dies is helping a lot in its own way.

He’s going to be slightly better at talking, whenever they see the idiots again. Embarrassed about his teeth and pallor, sure, but he’ll be able to say things while looking at people’s faces as opposed to anywhere else. He might even, and hold your breath for this, get excited over something near them. Who knows?

Okay so they’re baby steps but still! He’s getting better. I want science bros and also the Fighter Bookclub to be a thing just. So so badly. I desperately want someone to catch him just humming as he works on a gun just sort of near people. He might not like talking much still- he’s a wallflower even without the trauma to make it worse, but he doesn’t mind being around people so much anymore, and he figures that he and Cav can trust you all. He also sort of figures they owe you guys after everything you did for them, but it’s not like: “i must throw myself upon the pyre for these brave heroes” it’s more like: “Big Idiot Friends? Big idiot friends. Halp Friends.”

i’ve had long hair my whole life and this haircut has kinda changed everything. i feel like i’m getting to explore a lot about how i present myself and like i might identify more with she/they pronouns than entirely she/her? idk i’m still figuring it out but it feels so good and i feel so good about myself now and just aaaa.

What's your favourite movie? What's your "comfort blanket" movie? What movie do you feel like you can watch over and over and over again without ever getting tired of it? (this is technically three things I guess but hey maybe it's the same answer for all of them? xD)

Ah man, my favorites swings with my mood. How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle are absolutely in the “comfort blanket” category. As for the rewatching question... erh, IDK, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, maybe?
