Redbud Pink Lemonade

I saved my second batch of redbud syrup for Holy Week treats and today I whipped up lemonade. I can’t remember why, but I got busy when making the syrup and steeped the flowers for two days instead of one, so this batch of lemonade is even more floral than the last. It’s nice to still enjoy the redbuds a couple weeks after they’ve disappeared from the trees.

  Today’s theme is “Tuppeware party,” from Gian.  He told me he remembered going to them with his mom when he was little.

My interpretation is about the color.  I think of the seventies, and being at my friends’ houses (not ours, we used Cool Whip cartons for leftovers) and seeing the pastel colors mixed together in their fridges or cabinets.
