Caretaker's so powerful, they could wage a full-scale war if angered enough.
Whumpee, who was tortured for information, chose to tell caretaker nothing; not daring to risk a war in their name.
Caretaker would have never known, if the enemy didn't gloat about it. Just like whumpee didn't tell caretaker about their torture; caretaker didn't tell them about their revenge attack.
Whumpee would never know. It would be silent, whoever raised a hand to them would just disappear.
Just thinking about vengeful, aggressive, violent caretakers.
A teammate has to hold them back when they see whumper as they thrash and snarl threats:
"Im gonna rip your tendons out through your mouth!"
"They're gonna need a new ring of hell for what I'm gonna do to you!"
"Let go! I promise I'll only kill 'im once!"
Maybe whumper takes this seriously, and caretaker feeds off that fear. Or maybe whumper smirks and eggs them on.
Whumpee is trying to move past all of this, they're trying to live again. They're finally no longer thinking about whumper every day anymore. They're getting further from those god-aweful memories and learning how not to blame or hate themselve in the aftermath.
But just because caretaker is violent doesnt meant that's all they are. Theyre gentle with whumpee, more careful than anyone had ever been. Theyre quiet, steady, a calm presence like a warm shadow.
But they see whumpee's scars, and in their mind's eyes they see whumper's face. Caretaker will not forget. And there is only one way for them to move on.
[ID: The explaining to mom meme template. On the left is an image of a person explaining with hand motions. Text above reads “Caretaker explaining how many people they maimed and murdered to save Whumpee.” On the right is an image of a person on a couch covered in a blanket with a confused and somewhat mortified expression. Text above labels them as “Whumpee”. End ID.]
Scene: Caretaker losing it when Whumpee goes missing and are willing to do ANYTHING to get them back, maybe even being a bit of a whumper themselves to do accomplish it.

CW: Beat-down, murder/death gore
Teammate stood in the background, jaw practically to the floor as they stared unblinking at the pure and unadulterated rage that Caretaker displayed.
Punch after punch was rained down upon the man who had their hands tied behind them as the chair they sat in was rocked further and further back with each landed hit.
"Where is Whumpee?! I know you work for Whumper, don't you dare lie to me! I know you know something!" Caretaker continued to pound into the man's face, his head rocking side to side with blood oozing from cuts on his face and out his broken nose.
Even managing to spit blood a couple of times whenever Caretaker would pause for breath.
"P-please...stop...I...I don't..." The man struggled to form a coherent sentence, let alone keep both eyes open as they began to swell and bruise.
It wasn't long before the man struggled to breathe bad enough to cause concern for Teammate, the man's face broken and bleeding, hardly recognizable as the man who was dragged in by his hair with his hands bound behind him earlier by Caretaker of all people.
It was hard for Teammate to process, let alone watch, as their friend became so unhinged when the man didn't answer which lead to his current predicament and beaten face.
"I swear if you finish that sentence with an 'I don't know anything' I will fucking kill you right now." Caretaker growled into their ear, fist full of their hair as they forced eye contact.
Teammate saw the man gulp before they stepped forward and drew Caretaker's attention away from the man bound to the chair.
"True..." Caretaker stood in front of the bound and broken, drawing the gun from their waistband of their jeans and pointing it point blank in his face and clicked the safety off.
"Caretaker...he can't tell you anything if he's dead." Teammate reminded as Caretaker raised their bloody fist to begin again.
To his relief Caretaker paused and lowered their arm, the man also relaxed a touch but kept a wary eye on them.
"If they indeed know nothing about where Whumper took Whumpee then I don't need them alive anymore."
Before either one could say or do anything, the man started to talk.
Teammate's jaw dropped a second time as they rushed forward to stop Caretaker, only to have them draw a second gun and point it at them, making Teammate freeze on the spot.
The look in Caretaker's eyes were unhinged and full of rage, Teammate could practically see the red in them.
"Ok ok ok! I don't-don't wanna...die... please... I-I drove them...I drove them out of the city-city..." The man hung their head, fighting to stay conscious it appeared to Teammate.
"Where."
"Cabin...out in the...in the sticks...east of here..." The man groaned when Caretaker propped their head up using the barrel of the gun. "Take the highway-highway out... I-24..."
"Which cabin."
"Log...it's a log cabin...has a rusted old pick-up by-by the si-" The man slumped over unconscious. Caretaker wasted no time in heading for the door, a man on a mission.
"Wait, Caretaker! We can't just leave him like this...we should take him to the hospital." Teammate said, calling after them.
Teammate shouted in alarm, jumping back in surprise and fear as their friend and leader mercilessly killed an unconscious and defenseless man in front of them.
Caretaker stopped and turned partway to glance at them and back at Teammate.
Before Teammate could blink he shot off a round at the man hitting him squarely in the head even with it lolled over, his body falling completely off the chair as blood and brain matter splattered out the other side from the force.
They would find and rescue Whumpee no matter the cost. Whumper could not, would not, win this time.
"Can't have them warning Whumper..." Caretaker said as way of an explanation when met with Teammates horrified face.
Without waiting, Caretaker turned back and stalked out to their car.
Yay! Can I please request a feral Caretaker who is extremely protective of their whumpee?? Any scenario is fine, I just really wanna see your take on a feral Caretaker!!
LOVE IT! Done and done
CW: Vengful caretaker, re-introduced to whumper, violent caretaker, aftermath and angst
Whumpee sat with Caretaker's jacket wrapped around their shoulders. Their eyes followed Caretaker, who paced around the room, snapping from left to right.
They were about to bring whumper in. The interrogation room was set and whumpee was placed somewhere they weren't going to have to see it.
"Caretaker..." Whumpee softly called to them. Caretaker abruptly stopped pacing and glanced at them. Whumpee could see their face lightly sweating and their hand itching to tremble.
"You're going to stay here with me, right? You're not going to leave?" Whumpee asked.
Caretaker gave them a reassuring smile and knelt by their side.
"Of course. Yes, of course I am. I'm just... So angry." Caretaker's tone morphed. "Whumper's going to be in this very building and it makes my blood boil." They hissed. They quieted their tone down and gently took whumpee's hands.
"They won't ever hurt you again. No one will. I promise."
Before whumpee could even respond, commotion erupted the halls. Caretaker jumped and put themselves between Whumpee and the door.
"Don't worry about them. They're being taken straight to interrogation." Caretaker stared through the small window at the door.
Suddenly, one voice was more vocal than the rest of the commotion.
Whumper's voice.
Threats. Insults. Curses.
Whumpee's name.
Their name wasn't screamed like the rest of their words. Whumper called for them lovingly. "I know you're here, sweetheart. Come see me. We all know you want to."
Whumpee shivered and hunched, covering their ears. "Keep it together" they thought to themselves, as tears bursted down their blank expression. They sniffed and wiped their face, looking up at caretaker for assurance-
-But they weren't there.
The door swayed as someone had just gone through as a flash of movement flickered by the window.
Suddenly, the commotion re-exploded. Whumper's voice was drowned as shouting and fighting seemed to commence. Whumpee tensed and clutched the jacket tighter.
"Caretaker?" Whumpee called, scared to be heard.
Should they go after them? What if someone got hurt? What if caretaker got hurt? Whumpee slowly rose to their feet and walked towards the door; the commotion getting louder. They reached for the door, but before they could open it, it slowly opened for them as caretaker walked right back in.
They had no more trembling, no more worry. Their face was peaceful and calm, yet splattered with a nauseating amount of blood.
Whumpee retracted their hand- "Wh-what just happened?! Are you hurt?! Caretaker is that blood-"
"It's okay." Caretaker said in the calmest voice whumpee has ever heard. "Everything is fine. It's more then fine." Caretaker smiled and cupped whumpee's face.
"I told you; they will never, ever hurt you again."
