VOTING TIME....
For outfits that is. On the brilliant advice of @@artielu , I’m shopping around for a dress to wear to my friend’s wedding in Pittsburgh in early November. I want to look glamorous and beautiful but not *too* much because I think it will be more of a casual cocktail than a super dressy cocktail event (though it is an evening reception - if I get something super dressy I might change between the church service and the reception.) ANY WAY, I have two lead contenders (both approved by the bride btw because I want to fit in and would never dare try to outshine a bride at a wedding...that’s just rude) and one is definitely more of a risk while the other is more neutral and will definitely be more flattering and a great neutral for glamorous jewelry. So I’d love all of your opinions.
Here are the two dress options:
Marchesa Notte Woven Hem Cocktail Dress (which I should note is super flattering on the “real people” who submitted pics of them wearing it.)
I’m thinking I’d keep the accessories really simple, maybe gold earrings and bangles for a bracelet and a black clutch of some sort. And maybe patent leather or matte leather black pumps since it might be cold?
These earrings are maybe a little big but would complement the floral theme nicely.
These would also be pretty and floral but again might be a wee bit big.
Okay, now for Dress Two: It’s by La Petite Robe di Chiara Bone and it’s called the Navy Kate Sheath (what a disconnect between the designer name and the dress name but it’s okay.) Here it is:
As you can see, it’s much simpler but still unique and I think it would be super duper flattering. And obviously I could go wild with accessories. I particularly like the idea of these earrings with it.
Maybe with some kind of interesting shoe. I feel like a necklace might mess up the interesting neckline but obviously, bracelets would be a must.
So my dear followers, any votes? All opinions welcome (even if they’re, UGH I hate both.)
