vulpinez yea oh my god my mom’s the same way sometimes like.. she always says we’re White on official documents and stuff and was offered scholarships in the past for being latina but she says she wants to leave that to the Real Mexicans....... she is kinda light skinned tbh but she still?? isnt fully white passing?? ppl see her as mexican all the time and go up to her speaking spanish and stuff lmao but she acts like they’re just Mistaken or something

vulpinez yea wtf that sounds a lot like the situation with my grandparents and stuff?? except that my grandma already hated her culture anyways n didnt wanna be like her parents and tried 2 seem as white as possible and married a racist white dude from the south lmao so.. definitely that kinda situation. 

its sad bc i actually hear about that stuff happening with mixed latinx ppl soo much like we were talking abt it in sociology the other day idk!! i guess its just that generation ://

vulpinez YA like idk, i still kinda get why with mine since they’re all on my mom’s side n there’s been a lot of drama on that side of the family so idk.. like her mom was mexican and her dad white and they were rlly racist and weird about it even back then?? like she told me they made fun of her for how thick her hair was and her skintone and got mad at her for dating mexican guys Like..

i guess its rlly not surprising some of that would carry over with that kinda background tho ://
