I haven’t been working out as much as I have wanted, lately. There’s a lot of stress at work, and I am stressed when I get home. I keep finding excuses not to go to the gym, and when I am not making excuses I am too tired to start working out even though I want to.
So. I am going to go back to where I started, 2.5 years ago. This was when we were given Fitbits from the company and challenged to walk as much as possible. I started walking 15k-30k steps a day (from a previous average of 5k-7k a day) and I started losing weight and centimeters, and gaining energy and muscles. So this is what I am going to do: I have changed my daily Fitbit target from 10k, back to 15k steps a day. I intend to meet that target.
The thing is that it is way easier for me to take a long walk home from work (to fill my steps) and get home at 6PM and relax for the rest of the evening, than getting home ASAP, be home at 4:30PM and then have to go to the gym before prepping dinner. It may not sound like it would be a problem, but it is. So yeah, I am rebooting and beginning back from square one again. This time with more experience and knowledge, though! ...and I will try to get as many of these steps a week by running.
Starting TODAY (because why wait until Monday? :)) I am going to get this done. I will be Walk like a Zombie more than Run like a Zombie. Back to the roots! :)
Actually looking forward to this :)
