Has anyone ever investigated a connection between Batman and Robin and the deceased Justice Experience member the Acro-bat? The bat part is pretty obvious and the first Robin was pretty obviously heavily trained in acrobatics.
No for pretty much the same reason nobody tries to look into basically any other specific or ancillary information about the Batman or the Batman Family in the first place. Because you're not going to find anything of value.

While its obviously true to anyone with two working eyes (and many, MANY professional acrobats who have been probed on the question) that the first Robin did indeed have some professional training in acrobatics and other high flying arts that doesn't tell us anything really firm one way or the other. It could be that he was born and raised in the circus, it could be that he was trained by a cult of trapeze walking assassins, it could mean he's an alien from a society where everyone walks on their tiptoes at risk of being shot. He's certainly the most skilled aerialist IN the family, especially if you believe the well attested theory that the first Robin later became the hero Nightwing where he's been said to probably be the best acrobat currently alive and in the superhero business that is NOT a short list when learning how to do a flip in midair can be the difference on whether or not a new .45 millimeter nostril gets drilled into your skull.
That being said the important part as to why no one has looked into it is simple: The identities of the Bats, ESPECIALLY the younger members of the group, are airtight. You will not find ANYTHING identifying about them. Anywhere. For ANY amount of time and if you happen to be VERY nosy about looking you might just get a tap on your window in the middle of the night telling you directly to knock it off.
Whatever their actual relationships, Batman is notoriously protective of his young wards especially after the tragic death of the second Robin at the hands of the Joker and various other tragedies that have struck the family to various intensities ever since. The idea that he would die for them is unquestionable, and the various other unrecoverable lines he would be willing to cross in their defense is the kind of question no one sane actually wants the answer to.
So the question, like many questions related to the Batman is left lying for the health of all involved. Because if you DO find a thread that might lead you back to one of his children. Leave it exactly where you found it and it might be a good idea to forget you ever noticed it in the first place.
