I JUST GOT MY 500th FOLLOWER!!
Follow monster-mack!!! I admit, at first I was only going to give him a shoutout cause he was my 500th follower but then I followed him and realized something. His blog is damn good!!! So if your dash is dead and you need a new awesome blog is follow, this dude user right here is someone I would highly recommend!!
Thank you for everyone who follows me! I know that I say thank you to you guys a lot and it may seem like I’m just saying thank you to be polite but I really do, from the bottoms of my hearts (yes, I have several hearts that is not a typo) appreciate each and everyone of you. Without you guys, I probably would have given up on this blog, lost interest (not in studio ghibli but lost interest in having a blog for it) and deleted it when I first made this account. So again, thank you all for being loyal followers even though I know for a fact my blog isn’t the best and it wouldn’t kill me to be a little more active.
That being said, time for a little story. Once upon a time, a 13 year old girl happened to come across a tumblr blog about studio ghibli. (I would tell you the name of the blog but I stopped following him cause he started reblogging things other than ghibli and he changed his URL a couple times but he used to be beyond-the-bath-house I think) This girl was amazed by this guys blog and this blog is what led her to want to make a tumblr account. Though the girl did make a main personal blog, she only posted two things in the length of 3 months. Her real interest was in the side blog she made entitled “Miyazaki’s heroines”. The name came to her after she saw a piece of fan art with some cute little chibli girls from Studio Ghibli films. After she set up her blog and watched all the Studio Ghibli movies in one week, (this was in the summer I stayed up till like 4 am watching movies) her real work began and she slowly began getting followers. At first, her blog was minuscule and she only had 10 followers (tumblr user @fancy-tuna was my first follower and still follows me and runs a sick blog so check it out) But that started to change when she became friends with another Ghibli blog that was much more tumblr famous than hers (and still is) and that blog is @wantsomehaminstead. She was kind enough to add this minuscule user to her affiliations and when people went to that page on her blog, the girl’s blog would be one of the ones listed there. After that plus a lot of tagging and posing, the young girls blog finally started making some head way. After one and a half years of many struggles (and the discovering of queue which I use quite often now) the once unknown blog became a little more well known. Now with 500 followers, the girl is so proud, happy, and grateful, she even wrote this long ass story in the third person just for you guys. She really cannot believe how many followers she has. I mean really, half way to 1K? Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought she’d get this many followers. It feels surreal! But anyways, I would do a giveaway but my parents won’t let me plus you guys probs wouldn’t want any if the shit I own anyways. I mean, I guess I could have drawn you something… I can still draw you guys stuff if you wanna print it out or make it your background or something… But it would probably be a sucky monochrome background… I would totally give out free ghibli DVD’s if I could but I myself don’t own one movie Sad ain’t it? But I’m broke so I can’t buy them. I watch them all online. Uhmm… I’ll take requests again I suppose. I can draw something, you can ask me any questions at all (actually I encourage you to ask questions. I don’t get many messages and I love hearing from you guys) or you can even dare me to do something. Maybe I’ll put some followers blogs into a random generator then pick out like 15 blogs to promote… I was even thinking about writing down the names of them on slips of paper and just spreading them around town like in stores and etc… With you guys consent of course. I don’t know why you guys wouldn’t want me to do that but hey, better safe than sorry. This post is getting really lengthy (at least I think it is, it looks longs on my phone where I’m writing it and not on a computer cause my god damn wifi is messed up on it) so I’ll end it here.
