Sooooooo, I am showing ya'll one of the main characters of my current brain rot, and a little bit of a sneak peek of his fellow main character role he shares with too, I'll make a post of her at a later time but I wanna show him off first~

His name is Edur Obake, he's 25 years old and is an Aloloan Vulpix that lives in Almia Hisui c: In order of initional design to his most current design

For the most part his colors were too light when I designed him initionally as time wore on his colors got brighter and more saturated, but strangely his eyes never changed, his hair was a different story. It's currently way shorter than how it was going though it may reappear later on down the line though~ Next post should be about his friend that is in this post since I tend to draw them together all the time, but it will be about her not him

when reality feels off

- leaving the theater after watching a movie

- looking up from reading a book and realizing where you are

- any place that’s open 24 hours (bonus: going to said place in the early hours and hearing both “good evening” and “good morning”)

- playgrounds at night

- arriving for an early morning flight and seeing a deserted airport with most of the shops closed

- dead malls with decor that hasn’t changed since the 90s

- motels of any kind

- stopping at a gas station at night in the middle of nowhere while on a road trip

- grocery stores in small towns

- places meant for children’s birthday parties (especially if you went there as a kid and are now older)

- little doors and attics in your house

Sorry for disappearing for so long, this was supposed to be done a few days earlier, I was actually hoping I get this done yesterday afternoon, but multiple distractions came to bite me on the ass again, not to mention I was too sore, tired, and drained from yesterday's dentist appointment that I spent more time sleeping than working so it's really late.

Well I came across that post recently after discovering that the video I thought had disappeared returned, it was a VOCALOID cover of Stone Tower Temple sung by GUMI. So I ran with it, I did however had a hard time creating a background for it and kinda went nuts with it, which I had to stop myself from going too far because it started to turn into a crazy acid trip, hence why it took longer to finish.

Anyways, as the post mentions: Listening to this cover makes me think of Nemesis wandering around in some dark, messed up place in Evillious, here Nemesis is getting sent to an alternate dimension or a simulated version of the Third Period, probably being sent there by Seth Twiright or his Father Tom Gonzo(RP only) to mess with her head, as the grid pattern around her suggests.

There is also a forest behind her which shows the aforementioned alternate world and her sin, Wrath, being born from the forest.

Flyer for issue #4 of Andrea Feldman’s Warped Reality fanzine, published in 1996.

I found this flyer last night by pure happenstance: it literally fell out of the sleeve of a VHS tape as I was pulling it from a shelf. The occasion? I just bought a little gadget to help me digitize my old videotapes, and I wanted to rip the tape of Calvin Johnson’s 1996 or 1997 guest appearance on MTV Europe’s Alternative Nation. Someone—perhaps from the indiepop list—had been kind enough to dub and send me a copy, and she’d written her note on the back of this flyer.

While I do have at least one copy of Warped Reality in my zine collection, I’m not sure if I ever got this one. I feel sure I’d remember it if I had, because what an amazing lineup of musicians and comics artists represented here! While music was (and remains) my main passion, I was also an avid reader of alternative comics. I signed up for subscriptions to Hate, Naughty Bits and Eightball after I discovered those via my indie record clerking internship, which included many lunchtime visits to Harvard Square comics shop Million Year Picnic just down the road from my store.

This was a fun find, and I hope to stumble upon more surprises—analog and digital—as I dig into the VHS archive.
