Fans of Hollyoaks will see cleaned up Ste Hay re-applying for the job of head chef at the restaurant he co-owns with Tony Hutchinson during Monday night’s Channel 4 episode, but it’s not going to be as easy to get his job back as he may think.
Ste’s business partner, Tony (Nick Pickard) fired him from The Hutch after finding out that he’d been using drugs on the premises.
Tonight, having cleaned up his act, Ste is set to be enraged when he sees a notice in the restaurant window advertising for a new chef, but when he confronts Tony it is clear to see that he is not convinced that his partner, and life-long friend has changed.
Later in the episode fans will see Ste returning to The Hutch, suited and booted and armed with his CV, which spurs Tony to agree to a trial run, but what Ste doesn’t know is that he is not the only one competing for the job.
Village newcomer, Cameron Campbell (Cameron Moore) has also applied and so Tony thinks the fairest way to decide between them is to let them battle it out between them, not realising that Cameron has personal ties to Ste’s family.
Luckily Ste doesn’t realise that Cameron is the dangerous ex of his sister, Leela (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) at first either, but still as tensions rise between them it’s not looking like they will be friends anytime soon.
Meanwhile it has also been announced that a new actress, former Waterloo Road star Lauren Gabrielle-Thomas, has been cast in the role of Amber Sharpe.
Fans last saw Amber, originally played by Lydia Lloyd-Henry, back in 2010 before she, and the rest of her family including her daughter by teenage rapist Finn O’Connor (Keith Rice), moved away from the village.
Amber was mentioned recently when Finn tried to make contact with his daughter Bella, and now bosses have confirmed Amber will make what they describe as a “brief” return we can only imagine this storyline will pick up again, although exact details of the mother and daughter return are being kept closely under wraps by the powers that be for now!
Hollyoaks continues tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 4 / Channel 4 HD – Watch the official Six Weeks of Summer trailer for all the drama ahead in the clip below:
