I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jess shepherd go to an expansion team. I think that would give her the most money. She had a solid euroleague season.

Bridget Carleton will be vet min no matter where she goes. Lynx might keep her for that reason alone. Otherwise she will be on an expansion team too. I don’t think teams will be fighting over vet min players. So either their team from last year or on an expansion team. Might be a good piece for Connecticut—cheap vet.

I think Studbudz will be gone. I don’t know if any team will pay both of them but we’ll see. Might be different teams for them this year. I just don’t know what team would take them both.

Dijonai will 100% be a lynx again unless another team offers her more money.

As a bay area native I'm biased, but the Valkyries have pretty good pull for free agents considering their combination of positive factors, it really comes down to whether the org wants the player or not since they seem really picky. Everyone come to the bay! It's really nice! Just ignore the tech bros! 😭

I don't see the current Valkyrie team changing much this offseason, unless a really big name decides that the grass is greener in the Bay (I'm talking, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Mitchell-type players). Other players (including Mabrey) would probably struggle to fit into the system they've established, at least initially.
