FUTURE DREAMS S2 –– APPEAL TIME

jaesun has a million different ideas in mind for his appeal time, but many of them don’t seem to fit in the short time limit that they’re given. not that forty-five seconds is really all that short, but still. in the end, he decides to embarrass himself doing gwiyomi ( reference ) for the audience. not that jaesun actually finds it embarrassing. how many times does he do these things for his baby sister to get her to laugh anyway?

it’s finally his turn and he bows first before introducing himself. “hello! i’m legacy’s ahn jaesun. thank you so much for coming to watch our performance. i’d like to do a special gwiyomi performance for you all.” he begins to sing along at the same time as him doing the cute aegyo moves. he can’t help but laugh when it comes to an end, bowing once more before handing the mic off to the next person.

She’s sketching again, quick scribbles of passersby. Ah, she’s bored. She feels stifled, stuck. It’s a prettier prison than the Void, but a prison nonetheless.

But at least this alleviates the boredom. A better variety of subjects, fascinating subjects. Her eye is drawn in particular to a woman she’s just jotted down. Not only is she stunning in the normal sense, she’s stunning literally in her long ears. Like... an elf. How curious. 

Finding herself daydreaming about painting all that hair is all the prompting she needs to get up, shut her sketchpad and move to approach the woman.

“Excuse me,” she says. She gives the woman a smile, eyes fixed on her with a keen interest. “I don’t mean to interrupt whatever business you have here, but I was wondering...”

Delilah tips her head, and she’s hardly lying or baselessly flattering as she continues, which is refreshing. “You are striking. May I paint you?”

We only destroyed the kitchen twice.

The first time was making blueberry pancakes. Good thing the wallpaper was blue, right? And to be fair, no one told me until the night before that forty-five people were coming over for breakfast the next day. The only thing the grocery store had in stock that could feed so many people were boxes of pancake mix. And we do have a blueberry tree in our yard. Okay, so asking the two seven year olds to help may not have been the best idea, but they were the only ones home!

The second time was when we were trying to make an offering to the fairies. Somebody did not do all of the proper research and we offered the wrong thing to a fairie that is allergic to them. So they set off the equivalent of a very tiny bomb in there.
