RANT TIME!

I am so proud of how far I've come! I've struggled with major depression and anxiety since 5th grade and I am finally so happy! In middle school, I legitimately knew I was going to kill myself before I ever graduated high school! At the oldest i was 14 thinking that!

Fourteen fucking years old with an entire lifetime ahead of me that I never wanted to experience! And now I'm happier than ever!

I have a great relationship with my mom and friends!!! I'm doing well in school!!! I'm getting a job and making my place in the world!!!! IM EXCITED ABOUT MY FUTURE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!!!!!!

And I experienced a lot of this journey on this dumb website!! And let mr tell you. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a person who used to rant about their depression just because they need an outlet now talking about their own journey to becoming better!!!!!!!

We're all growing and getting better and learning to find our places in the world!!!!!

D&D Rise of Tiamat Session

Well. We came across a big white dragon and surprisingly came out alive as it flew off to lick it's wounds after being pummeled by half the party (we have a party of 8 at the moment). Joy, my tiefling cleric, may have gotten one shotted by its cold breath attack but Froley was kind enough to dig through her backpack and pour a potion down her throat to get her up again before he ran into the fray. She then used her following turns to heal Ciaran and then tried to Sacred Flame the dragon while it was still in range and then spent the rest of her turns trying to keep others in range to heal them. Faer, our drow ranger, was able to fire off her two dragon slaying arrows before she was incapacitated by dragon roar fear so she couldn't move towards it anymore so it went out of her line of sight. Ciaran, the half elf bard, was almost downed at the start by the same breath attack that took out Joy but she was healed by both Zyler and Joy and shot a lightning bolt at the dragon in return. She was then feared by its roar so was well out of range for the rest of the fight. Zyler, the human sorcerer, for the most part had Blink activated but... he's human so couldn't see very far so spent most of his turns trying to get close enough to the dragon to use a scroll of Disintegrate but... sadly he never got close enough to do it which woulda been awesome. Froley, the dwarf barbarian, was up in the dragons face so he took the most physical hits and dealt a good deal of damage to it. When it flew up out of melee range he resorted to throwing his hand axes and such at it. Squib, the gnome druid and latest addition to the group, turned into a dinosaur to attack the dragon a number of times. Balasar, the dragonborn warlock, did a fair amount of scorching rays at it as well. Darius, our human fighter / npc who is sticking around because him and Joy are now engaged, spent a fair amount of time trying to get close enough to the dragon to do damage to it. Didn't get to use his fire glaive on it and tried to get it with his crossbow but kept missing (and this is why Darius does not use his crossbow when given a choice). It's fights like this that make me wish I was playing a non-pacifist character at times but that shall be for another campaign where all my wants to destroy things will come out to play :)
