I, feel the need to put this out there. TW for brief mention of SA.
Odds are what I'm about to say is just going out into the void and no one will pay it much attention but fuck it, I'll say it anyway.
So, funnily enough, I have been seeing alot of posts talking about the recent Artemis II launch as well as the fact it seems to be barely talked about.
Like, this is the furthest we've ever gone apparently. It's crazy. It's brilliant.
And again, it's kinda nuts it's not getting more attention. Maybe it's cuz we're stuck in a system that pushes out negative content, keeps us upset, angry and depressed.
And like, unless you're an utter luditte or something, then what Artemis 2 has done is the EXACT opposite! It's a symbol of how far we've come as a species, it gives HOPE
It shows that we can keep progressing as a species, all of us.
We've gone from living in cold, dank and dark caves to living in comfort, yes there are those who still suffer, who have no place to call home and so we have to fight for them so that they do.
We've gone from a short life span of about 30 to 40 years to living for about 75 years minimum, there's those of us who've made it to 100 and beyond! Yes there's a cap at around 120 it seems, but I believe there's some solution to that issue.
We've gone from only knowing a small localized group of people to being able to talk to one another from halfway across the world! Yes that's come with it's own issues but, it's allowed us to learn more about one another and build bonds that otherwise would've been impossible without it.
We've learned to fly, to soar up into the sky and beyond, to reach the fucking stars!
We've cured diseases, saved lives, harnessed the elements.
We've created abstract concepts and given them meaning which has given us structure and something to live by. Yes, clashes arise from these concepts but we're learning to comprimise with one another.
We can keep going further and further to fuck knows where! Maybe we'll hit a wall sometime down the road and be fucked to watch as the light goes out in the universe and leave us to die in the cold and the dark.
Maybe that wall won't fuck us over. Maybe we'll break through the wall or maybe we won't need to break through it.
Or maybe we won't run into a wall and just keep going into bloody infinity.
Maybe, just, maybe, we find some way to break the cosmic system of death that we're stuck in and live forever and bring back those we've lost to revel in peace for eternity.
Personally, I'm hoping on that last possibility. It's what's keeping me going right now to be honest after losing one of my best friends a few months back.
But we don't know and we won't know until we get further down the road.
And, I know that things are not okay right now. We've got a child raping maniac in charge of one of the strongest countries on Earth and he and his sycophants are going around and killing, terrorizing and abducting people with impunity.
His billionaire buddies are helping him and they're sucking the life out of all of us and stomping on our rights.
They're raping our planet and our children and they're sitting behind closed doors, feasting on needlessly expensive food as they laugh at us as their thugs murder innocent people.
But they won't be in power forever. The wheel turns ever onward, they will lose their power someway or another and when they do, the ones who hid behind them will reap what they've sowed.
Already, Trump's cult is turning against him because they've realized that once again the pendulum is swinging the other way and his brain is rotting in his skull as the dementia tightens its grip on his mind.
His legacy will not be one of strength and conquest, of prosperity and greatness.
But of madness, poverty, division, weakness and corruption, of a insane fool flailing around as the world watches him slip away and turn into a drooling meat machine, the software too fragmented to run anymore.
The tumour that is Trump is going to die and the world will remember who it was that let him get this far, his enablers have tarnished their legacy and will be looked down upon by future generations as cowards, zealots and monsters.
The only questions left to us now is "Will he die before he is brought to justice for his crimes?" and "how much destruction will he cause before he dies?"
But, regardless of the outcome, Humanity will continue to grow and learn, we will continue to ascend to greater heights, to work through our flaws and correct the crimes of our forebearers
Like I've said elsewhere, I'm a bitter and cynical person. When I feel an emotion, it's like an ocean and if I don't maintain a grip on the helm, I will go under.
I think we're alone. I don't think there's anything quite like us out there yet and maybe there never will be.
I think, we're the first. The first to crawl out of the primal ooze of creation, to look up at the stars and ask the question that has defined our species:
"What the fuck are we doing here?!"
To quote a great author, we're where the Falling Star meets The Rising Ape. We're where the Beast stands up on it's hind legs and tries to make sense of our world as it climbs up an impossibly high peak, to give meaning to an uncaring universe that could roll over and crush us in it's sleep and be none the wiser.
We're where the concept of a Fallen Divinity finds itself in a strange and unknown hostile world, a far cry from what we thought it would be.
That means we have a duty. We cannot go extinct, we cannot die out yet. We have to keep going, charting out the dark and discovering new things.
To stare down The Abyss in each and everyone of us and Make. It. Blink.
To make The Abyss turn away and cower in the presence of Humanity's Light as we don't just stand on the edge of The Abyss but instead jump feet first into the unknowing depths to banish the darkness.
To march up to the doors of Ry'leh and kick them open so we can get Cthulhu itself to speak with us.
To create new worlds so that life can flourish and more like us can rise, so we can guide them because we never had anyone to guide us.
To dig our heels into the ground when Morgoth returns to bring about destruction and death and say "No. You do not get to take one step further! Not while we're still here!"
To crack open the Matrix and light our darkest hours!
To crack open the vaults of Death itself and take back those we lost so they can bask in the song of life once again.
To keep throwing fuel onto the fire as Entropy arrives to drag us into lifeless cold and tell it "No, we will not let the flame go out. We will keep it burning as long as we can."
We're messy, we're flawed, we struggle to control the animal within, to restrain it's fear of the unknown and the alien which causes us to reject those who aren't like us, be it due to their skin tone, appearance, sex, gender, religion or what.
But, we're not some dark and terrible evil that has risen to destroy all life. We're a dumb child without any parent or guardian to show us how to do things.
We have a long way to go, I know that.
But, by the time we've reached the end of our tale, by the time we've climbed to the top of the peak and held the stars in our hands, then, we can finally take off our armour, hang up our swords and shields, unstring our bows.
Then we can finally know true peace.
Faith is a part of the foundations of Progress and Life. It drives us onwards to greater heights; if we believe we can make it so, then one day it shall be so, but only if we work towards it.
Faith in ourselves is what helps us take the path to Action and through that we can Change.
Even if you can't go out and protest, even if you can't pick up a weapon when it's needed and fight, there's other ways to stand against Evil.
If everyone was a warrior then we'd get fucking nowhere. Same if everyone was a healer or a leader.
Our greatest strength is our unity.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, then every battle will end in a defeat.
if you know yourself but not your enemy (or vice versa), then for every victory you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know yourself and your enemy, then you will always win.
Alot of us are angry, alot of us are filled with hate. I'm no different, I've been lashing out a lot more than I normally do because I'm working through some shit.
But, I've been at war with my own inner darkness ever since I was six years old. When I first experienced loss and I will continue to fight that darkness either until I'm dead or for all eternity.
I won't let my anger, despair and my hatred consume me, I will not become a twisted monster driven by hatred and anger.
And you won't either so long as you temper it, as long as you keep control.
I believe you can do it, even if you don't think you can.
I believe you can face down your inner demons, you may not believe you can but I know you can.
You don't need to be like Optimus Prime, Superman, Daredevil, Spiderman, Steel, Deku or Simon The Digger.
You don't have to be the boy who pulled the sword from the stone to make a difference.
Which is good, because no way in Hell is anyone coming to save us. It's all down to us.
So, let's get to work, shall we?
