I apologize, it was meant to be read as each cats can have up to two litters. Not two kittens each litter.
The reason is so I don't get too many characters to focus on. I would like to make sure at least most of the characters to get some focus. As the clan gets bigger, I won't be able to have every character make an appearance for each Moon.

The biggest thing that helped me out and what actually got me drawing in the first place was speedpaints! Definitely the ones where you can follow the artist's pov with seeing the entire program really helped me figure out basic with the tools and how each artists does things differently. Same goes with learning renders.
Personally, I find it much easier to fill the layer with the shadow, then erasing. I always feel like it helps me bring out the shapes much easier.
Keep in mind that I'm a self-taught artist and been drawing these battle cats for about 15 years. (damn I'm old) I'm not a professional and this is only a hobby of mine. I'm still learning new things :>

Of course! I've also taken some inspirations from other's on their gameplay. There's so much you can do with this game.
You dont have to answer if this is spoiler, but is the cat on the cover (the black cat with golden eyes) one of the rogues? Or one of the original clan cats?
