Between today being serious girl Sunday, national brisket day, and the anniversary of the mouse girl bartender post. Truly a blessed day for a wedding.
We looked at venues in Old Town Alexandria today, which is right across the river from DC. It’s a really historic town dating back to 1749. We love the Revolutionary War time period and the architetual aesthetic of the city (it has been described as “colonial industrial”), so I really do believe we’ve found the place we will be getting married!
So! We are more than likely going to be getting married October 26th of 2019. ITS WILD!!! I love Halloween time, and I am going to incorporate a lot of Halloween themed things into my wedding (like at the end of the wedding, we are all going to take a ghost tour of the city!)
I’m excited we’ve found a place we love so much, so that we can now move forward with invitations, dresses, asking the wedding party to be in our wedding, and asking our other vendors if they would like to work with us!

also it’s FUCKED up for me, personally, that the two big wedding reddits are both still locked. r/weddingplanning is dark “until further notice” and r/wedding doesn’t have a timeline. this is where i have been PUTTING MY THOUGHTS for people who are OBLIGATED TO SORT OF CARE!!!!! where else am i supposed to brag that our wedding photographer is already sending back previews bc she literally had so much fun with us that she’s skipping ahead on other galleries bc she wants to see our pictures!!!!! (here :) i will brag here :) she loves us and we love her)
