Most of the time, the prince of Rhorm welcomed any opportunity that was presented to him to get together with the royal families of other kingdoms, as well as their noble houses, but not today. Today was a solemn affair, one in which many were praying to the Gods - for comfort, for solace... and in this instance, for answers. And many from all over, even from outside of Aladonia, had come to pay their respects to the late Delesian king and their family, and while Daemon had done the same... he, too, wanted to offer comfort to his friend, Malachi.
Friend. The two princes had grown up alongside of one another, often spending time together when their parents were taking care of political dealings, and as they grew, so too did their relationship with one another. Hormones and maturity had caused the two boys to grow into men, but also for their relationship to grow into something more than just friendship. Limbs intwined, whispers upon pillows, and tender touches... Those were not what was expected of friends, and yet it was what had happened between them both.
But there was something unspoken in their relationship for one another. Something that neither wanted to acknowledge but was all too aware of - that despite the relationship that they might have towards one another, nothing could come from it. They both had their responsibilities to their kingdoms, as heirs to their father's throne and now that Malachi was to take that step onto his throne sooner rather than later? He knew that the time that they had together would be shorter.
That and the fact that he had been betrothed to another, someone else that had earned a spot within his heart and someone that he could spend the rest of his life with.
Still, the Rhormish prince had made his way to a quiet chamber within the keep in Farland, his footsteps nearly echoing as the heels of his boots clicked against the stone floor, when he finally found the future king of Dele.
"I would ask if you are okay, but I am aware that that's an asinine question given the circumstances..." he started as he moved to stand aside the prince. "But I had to come see you... Let you know I am here. For you."
