being weird about st peter here so I'm not excessively weird about st peter in my sermon

St. Peter in the Gospels is such an archetypal Wet Cat character. literally sinking under water screaming for halp because he got scared of the wind. problems are usually his fault. stupidly brave most of the time except the one time when there's a whole portentous thing about it. screaming crying throwing up as the rooster crows. tries so many things and gets them so wrong. holds the universe's record for the most times a human being has been personally instructed to check themselves before they wreck themselves by God incarnate. the rock on which the church is built. love him so much.
