Yuri: Look. I consider myself a realist, all right, but in philosophical terms, I’m what’s called a pessimist.
Soap: What's that mean?
Yuri: Means I'm bad at parties.
Soap: Let me tell you. You ain’t great outside of parties either.

12:What is your muse's happiest memory from their childhood?
(Okay first of all, oh my god what is the matter with you?!?! Second of all- everything about April’s childhood is lowkey pain) --
There is no specific memory of happiness from April’s childhood. But if she were to look for one specifically, she (and everyone else) would likely be surprised to know the memory itself doesn’t involve her father, (considering the level of outright paternal worship April had for the man this is pretty surprising) -- her favorite ‘happiest’ memory would be from when she was eleven, it was about six months before her grandmother died and they were in the kitchen baking. Her grandmother was teaching her some of her own mother’s recipes from Russia.

“You Westerners are weak.”
Somehow, the little one got into the weapons department. It was this fascination with the firearms that got that determination to get into the ‘Red Zone’ drawn out for the boy on a map of the base given to him by some superior. Really, who listens to words and red colors on a piece of paper? Not Nikolai. It was a large sniper rifle that had his attention. The case was the first interest, but when he opened it, his eyes lit up with fascination of the parts. He didn’t know what it was... Dragunov, Beretta, he lost touch with his weapons and maybe that was for the better. He still knew how to click the pieces together so that slowly it turned into what it is supposed to be. Now he’s standing there with a gun that’s long that him cradled in his arms, which were struggling to hold it to begin with, he was just so amazed at it. Well, he forgot a couple pieces like the tri-pod, but it still looked good.

They are making him wait.
Fifteen minutes, thirty ... It is so expected that it is comforting. The famous 141 are not more creative than that it seems. Next comes that car battery and the wires. He has not gotten a good enough luck at the soldiers here be sure, but he thinks it will be the one in the mask.
There is a glass of water in front of him.
He has not touched it.

“You dirty cheater.”
Ave didn’t drink, but it seemed like a perfectly acceptable time for that. It had been an exceptionally difficult mission for West. Something about losing sight of her comrade when he tumbled into some pretty chaotic water put her on a bitter edge. Why Ave had her old man’s lightweight gene and not her mama’s ability to hold her liquor, she had no idea.
One thing she was good at from her mom’s side was cards. Being raised in a wild western world, gambling was one of the only forms of entertainment. Ave would play the best out of their homes if she wanted. She usually settled for half their wallet. Back when she was hell on wheels, Ave would’ve gone the whole way and took their wallet AND their shoes.
And when West was drunk, which she was, that bandit came back. If there were any doubt that Ave was made of gun powder and lead, that doubt would be gone about now. The grizzly, rugged man who easily towered over Aven leaned forward in his chair.
“What did you call me?” his gruff voice asked, his eyebrows knitting together.
West practically jumped from her chair.
“I called you a dirty cheater,” Ave said as fiery as hell itself. “Should I write it down for you, or are you too stupid to know how to read?”
The man also stood up, clenching his fists. Ave only came up to his chest, but she glared up at him as if she were looking down on him.
“Listen lady,” he growled. “I’m not going to punch a woman-”
“I am,” she cut him off.
Just as West was about to wind up, she felt herself being tugged into the air.
“YOU BETTER PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW,” she shouted. “LET ME AT ‘EM. IMMA BEAT ‘EM INTO TOMORROW.”
[Soap’s bromances with some of his female soldiers give me strength.]
