You and Loki had a casual friends with benefits relationship. But then you got pregnant. Things are not labeled between you but theu are a lot less casual now and Loki has stepped up completely with this pregnancy.

Except right now you are in labor and everyone is telling you he won't get here in time to be present in the delivery room when the baby is born. Some people are telling you he probably doesn't want to be, anyway.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to you or them, Loki has made it to the hospital and been informed of which room you are in and is legit SPRINTING down the hall to get to you, scared to death he is going to be too late.

He isn't, and the looks on everyone's faces when he practically crashes into the room are priceless.

But to Loki, seeing you and the relieved and happy look on your face and knowing he was not too late? Those are the things that are priceless to him.

The Burn That Lingers

How can three pictures

light me on fire

so many times?

It was the first time I remember the burn —

you, seeing through my soul

with those wild, untamed eyes.

You built a universe inside me,

like the one we built with our hands,

a world transcending space and time,

changing the essence of everything it touched.

We created,

and it outstretched to hearts all around us,

bringing tears,

bringing hope,

resonating with our story,

over and over again.

We became a gift —

not just to each other,

but to everyone watching,

everyone wishing

to be seen the way we saw each other.

Now,

I stare at these pictures before I sleep.

The burn still lingers,

still gifting me your presence

for just a little longer —

reminding me,

just once more,

what it felt like

to be seen by you.
