Kessie, like me, is a cosplayer, and like me also, a huge avatar-fan. Even more so, as an Inuit, she rarely sees herself represented in characters in mainstream media, but there was Katara. An amazing, well-written, feminist girl who was just like her. Of course she had to cosplay her! (Honestly though, who DOESN'T love Katara??). So far she has the wig, and the “lenses”, so now she just needs the outfit and shoes.
I'll be making her outfit sometime this week probably. It depends on whether or not I have the time. I’m traveling to Røros with the Uni folk dance group early Friday for the weekend.
I'm not a good hairstylist. Never have been. I'll probably re-style this a thousand times more. But for now it works. I could have done any of Katara's other hairstyles rather easily with this wig, and I still can restyle it to them, but I've always preferred her braided hairstyle.
