Snow flake
Our characters in the cold together.
“You do know who you’re speakin’ to, right?”
Interrogations are a bitch. They’re even more of a bitch when you’re not exactly used to other people watching you. Solo missions, missions where someone’s talking in your ear at another location-- yeah, she’s got them down pat, but now it’s like a goddamn competition. She can feel Bucky in the corner watching from the shadows, his arm under a heavy jacket. It’s cold up in the northern parts of Europe and she knows SHIELD has the two of them fighting together just so they can reveal the big bad and the even bigger bad after.
The big bad is Bucky Barnes, but this man, this scum of the Earth who’s killed over a dozen innocent people in the sake of an arm’s deal, has no clue that he is also with the Winter Soldier. She’s not stupid; she knows his name holds weight out here as it always has. Echo knows her husband’s getting antsy over there, waiting for the tag to come into the ring so that he can yank off his jacket for that one blissful moment where Vlad will no longer think this is a game.
“A dumb bitch?” he answers promptly, head tilted as he spits blood at her. Okay, so maybe they were a little too rough in knocking him out, but the body count on this guy’s head only made it that much sweeter to break his nose.
Turning to look at Bucky with a face screaming really, she whistles and nods for him to come over. “You may want to rethink those words, Vlad. You’re gonna see him and shit your pants, but you got another thing comin’ to you if you think he’s the grand finale.”
“The grand finale?” He shifts in his seat, craning his neck to look over her towards Bucky, but Echo removes the knife from her belt and slices quick in his collarbone, shoving her fingers into the wound without so much as a blink.
“Yes, the grand finale, Vlad. Because even though you’ve been in the same room as the Winter Soldier this whole time, you also just pissed off his wife. He’ll keep you awake long enough so that I have a turn, too, and if not-- well, there’s always stickin’ around an extra day, right?”
