Bramcote Lane Shops, Wollaton, Nottinghamshire
I’ve just stayed for a week in Wollaton and was amazed by the number and range of local shops.
In Bramcote Lane, there are about 30 retail outlets including two supermarkets, three cafes, a greengrocer, a post office, an estate agent and a building society. Sadly the bank has closed, but this remains an exceptional local shopping area with integrated parking.
If you live locally, please continue to support this (and other) shopping centres. Residents of Wollaton may not realise just how fortunate they are. My other Tumblr blog (malswebparty) will include more Nottingham and Wollaton posts over the next couple of weeks or so.

Today was meant for errands, but it would have been a travesty not to nip to Wollaton Park for a quick gloriously autumnal stroll.
Highlights included critters, both expected and unexpected, and a stall selling COOKIE DOUGH LIKE IT WAS ICE CREAM! My life is now complete.
