Some spider flowers I made for my recent fantasy world project thingy:

These flowers come in a variety of colors, though the black version is the most common. The rarest one is the green version. These flowers usually have small stems, unless they latch onto something else and grow off of that instead. The actual flower part is shaped like a spider. The shape is only slightly off, which is a defense against lots of bugs and even people. The stem is still green, even if the flower part is a different color. These flowers are not very common, but they aren’t exactly rare either. The flowers can make a really delicious tea for some reason! And no, the different colors do not mean different flavors. They also make a great decoration if you like the creepy vibe. (Or the bright colors too ig)

I was re-making an old universe of mine and I remembered somthing that might help some people:

You’ve heard when making character designs to design their clothes around their occupation or their background. Of course you should do that as well but here are some other questions to ask when you’re creating a world and want it’s fashion to be cohesive. Also please be aware that I got these from looking at fashion through history but I’m not an expert

- Who is infuencing the fashion?

(Etc: Kesha with the y2k & Princess Diana with her white wedding dress)

- If a kingdom, how do the royal family separate themselves from the common folk

(Ex: The large dresses of the 18th century France were to raise themself above the people)

- What is daily life of common folk?

(Women joining workforce - needed more masculine clothing, so going out clothing reflected that + At home moms of the 50’s needed somthing comfterable but somthing they could do house chores in, thus the bell shape)

- What are people of the time attracted to/find attractive?

(I’m so sorry but this is true. This affects a lot, unless the male population away at war or something. This can also play into a character of if they lean into the appeals of the conventionally attractive or not.)

And The Best Vacation Destination Would Be either of the Two Side-Islands. Rosel and Calisk.

Calisk, where Marril is from, speaks a (to the rest of the countries) strange language and has a tropical, and to me, exotic environment.

It's warm, humid, and wet, with friendly people, lots of mystical creatures, and very colorful. The Caliskian people are an extremely creative and colorful race of warrior people whose culture centers around hunting, weapons, fighting, and creativity.

Each Caliskian has a tapestry of tattoos covering their skin that tells the story of their life. Their food on the other hand is usually sweet, spicy, or salty, as they have access to a bunch of herbs and spices. They are busy, and not very formal, with more of a tribal culture.

Meanwhile, Rosel on the other hand, is a massive desert with very rigid formal laws and rules. They are ruled by a king and have conquered a nation to the northwest called Ahellis, which is home to the Ahelites (Basically The elves of this world)

Roselite culture is centered around Beauty, Knowledge, and Efficiency. They are known for their beautiful Glassworks, mostly stained glass and such.

They are a very happy people despite their strict rules, and are very talkative and friendly to most newcomers. Once a year, the wonderful flowers beneath the sand come to life under the Winter Solstice Moon, and Millions of Roses Bloom from beneath the sand all over the island.

These roses are very religiously and culturally important to Rosel as their God, and their Flag are both centered around Roses.

Rosel speaks the equivalent of English in this universe and deeply respects (and sometimes worships) their royalty.

It’s all part of a larger project where I am making a website dedicated to Aurin and an AU where the planet was not discovered.  More to come later.
