I consider these very amateur! 😊 Yet for some weird reason people used to pay me for my work. 🤯 Which was totally mind blowing to me! But in my early 20’s while I pursued a career in commercial art and advertising, long before I ever had babies, I got to sell quite a few pieces at an art gallery in LA. My teacher insisted I join her in this little adventure. At the time it seemed so silly to me, but I have to admit I had so much fun! Now I wish I’d taken 📸 pictures of those pieces. It’s a shame that back then I was too embarrassed of my work. 😩 I never thought I was any good at any of it. I just enjoyed creating and it was an escape for me from some of my harsh realities of living with an alcoholic step dad. I’d sometimes wake up like around 3am inspired by a dream and just start working on what ever my imagination dreamt up. Some of those pieces where dark and raw, expressive of the turmoil in my life. I can see now why people liked them. But back then I had no clue what I was doing! 😆 I would love to try this again now just for fun of it! 🎨 I think my art now would be brighter and happier. I’m even searching my garage for my art supplies! Is there anything you loved doing from years ago that you’d like to pick up again? . . . . #art #worldartday2020 #worldartday #paint #draw #hobbies #creative #create #funescape #inspiration #expressionistart #escape #childofanalcoholic #adultchildrenofalcoholics #alanon #theeliteauite #allthingsgreenliving (at Santa Barbara, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_BfDjXBArX/?igshid=6ygu49i4dshi
