Ellie tilts her head to the side, punctuated by a characteristic eye roll. “Well, sure, the accent has a certain... allure,” she agrees. Somehow, boys just aren’t the first thing on her mind as she pulls out the tent in the muggy air. “Remind me again why we agreed to go on this camping expedition thing?” Ellie isn’t the most outdoorsy person regularly and her eyeliner has already melted in the heat. Sure, lots of guys were already taking this opportunity to remove their shirts. What good’s that if you look like a racoon?

░░░░░░ ☾ she sighs, leans back against the sofa. lily thinks about all the times she’s followed her gut and got it right: the quick fire of a shield spell, the flash of a phoenix on someone’s forearm, a portkey that takes her home.

she thinks of all the times it could have gone wrong.

“i wouldn’t be so sure of that.” she murmurs. if she focuses she can feel the panic there now, sitting curled up in the bottom of her stomach, almost harmless. it’s a little like begging to be broken. “or at least, i wouldn’t be trusting yours.” she turns her melancholy into an echo of a sly smile. “when’s the last time you made a smart decision, huh?”

i have yet to read or watch the series, but i wanted to say that i think your blog is amazing. from aesthetics to writing. i don't often follow characters i am not fully familiar with but from the little i got into it ( one day when i'm less busy i'll get fully into it ) i think you do an amazing job. you're amazing, & i hope you have a fantastic day !

hmm i guess since i'm feeling lovey i might spare some for a rat like you. our friendship has been so wild because we started in the strangest place & somehow became rat twins who only talk about burlesque (among our other au's). you have given me so many brilliant plots i can't even believe some of them didn't always exist. to think i ever imagined caroline with anyone else. more than that you have been a truly wonderful friend who i admire. thank you for it all, i absolutely love you.

And let me say, all the drama that you and I completely managed to avoid that just sort of happened around us … I’m really glad we made it through all that nonsense and that I still get to call you my friend. We came together and bonded in the weirdest of ways and I’m super thankful that we did because you’re pretty cool ( for a rat ) and are always just the loveliest person ( rat ) to talk to.
