With too much spare time on her hands, Georgia ended up wandering the island for the hundredth time it felt. She navigated from the middle to the edge, then back again. It was never any use for her to do ‘busy work.’ She needed to keep her hands occupied.
Eventually she headed out to one of the farms. She preferred to wander, checking things out. Although she probably shouldn’t, most people didn’t mind. Besides, on the larger farms, it was hard to keep track of where anybody could be, let alone ask.
She was lucky when she finally caught sight of one of the workers. She raised her hand and waved. “Good afternoon!” she called with a bright smile.
