2 Timothy 4:3, For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. Jehovah’s Witnesses are doctrinally unsound. So important to know Scripture and stick to God’s Word and not false teachers (1 Peter 3:15, 1 Corinthians 4:6).

JW History

The history of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower (Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society)

This is an introductory post. The goal is to provide a place where I can store some of the pictures, quotes, bits of audio & video, links, sites, books, and other publications. Hopefully, I’ll be able to locate them again, and make comments that I can find and update as I learn more.

I suspect that this will become my own place to comment on things I find interesting, and which will likely remain unnoticed by others. That’s fine. I’m not trying to promote a specific way of thinking to non-JWs or JWs or religious people, or non-religious. Because these posts and comments might become potentially public, I will offer some of my own background as time permits. (For now, I’ll just point out that I was born and raised a JW, continue to associate with JWs, and continue to promote much of the good that JWs have promoted for years. I should also point out however, that this is a place where I make comments about some things, now and then, that some JWs will not have thought about for themselves. I’ll be making statements about some of these areas of research where I’m either concerned about certain views, or I might have already noticed that a variant view fits the Bible just as well or possibly even better. Most JWs have been through this on certain matters. In my case, I’m just stating my views, and if anyone decides they would like to take the time to correct me or engage in a discussion, I am always willing to change my view to wherever the evidence leads.) 

I do not yet have a location where I post my own copies of various publications regarding the Watchtower and Jehovah’s Witnesses, so I will temporarily be linking to locations where I have seen these online. I have no control over when these links might move or disappear altogether.

If anyone feels they would like to provide their own comments on some of these materials, feel free to do so.

I will try to avoid a lot of personal religious prejudices in my own comments, so that my comments might avoid disagreements with others who feel differently.

Let’s see how this might go.
