I literally took a mental day from school today (since I’ve been neglecting my mental health since 2018 and it finally caught up) and my language arts makeup work is my obligation to the universe. I asked my friend why we are doing this in la and he said “it’s not hard, it’s just a few personal questions”

So my kid has missed four days of school cause she was sick (legit sick.) And like the good mother I am, I kept her home so as not to make it worse. What does the school? They send a notice of attendance and basically tell me that next time, I gotta send her anyway. THIS IS WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM! NO CHILD SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR FUCKING ATTENDANCE IN FUCKING KINDERGARTEN!
