Professor Malistaire headcanons oml
I'm gonna safely assume you mean how he'd be as a Teacher / Professor and not just him in general, the "oml" makes me fear tho.
Malistaire is one of those teachers that seems like he's stuck up in like a Freshman kind of way, ( where you're new to the class), but I think it'd be based off the fact a lot of people want to be a Necromancer because ooo edgy, dark, MCR, all that jazz. BUT as soon as you have him for a while and seem determined, he softens up and is fun in his own weird way.
He doesn't seem like the comedy type guy tho, so making Death jokes probably ain't his thing (unlike nearly all the other professors who make a pun every 5 seconds), but if you truly show your passion for Necromancy and genuinely study it, he'll take a liking to you and help guide you on quests way better than some.
Although, I think he'd be very hard on students who don't take their studies seriously, not only in Death magic, but in any magic, since a lot of people do it secondary. He's worried about kids falling behind ("You haven't studied a new spell in a while, what's come over you?"), but when it comes to jokesters, he sends them to his brother. (Rip Cyrus, you're stubborn but literally have all the stuck ups and jokesters, you good, chief?)
He's just that teacher that's worried about his students, even if he doesn't show it outwardly in general, honestly. I mean, come on, Death Magic is literally about doing damage to heal yourself. In a way, the Necromancy school feels like the fighters who are trying to heal themselves due to trauma (sorry for the callout post) and Malistaire is DEF one of those.
My mans may not say anything for hours, but he's gonna listen to you rant about problems while sipping some tea at his desk, who knows.
ALL IN ALL, wish Wizard101 had more school worthy stuff, wish we got to see Malistaire as a teacher, wish he didn't have so much trauma so we COULD have see all the good Malistaire content.

Fun Fact: I'm replaying through the entire game again after having not played it for years, so like. My headcanons are based off what I remember and what I see now (My highest level right now being like 23 I think), so very sorry if anyone is like "THIS??? ISN'T HIM??"
